There is a very easy answer to this question. YES!!!!! Not only is it unprofessional, it changes the relationship you should have with your doctor. You should be able to trust your medical advisor. If they have another agenda, i.e. trying to flirt with you, it indicates their judgement is suspect and you can't trust any advice they give you. He may be a very qualified doctor, but in flirting with you, a patient, even seemingly "harmlessly", he is calling into question his motives and his professionalism.

Yes. What do you mean by 'flirting' if he didn't make any advances?
EDIT: Ok, I just read the extra info. Wow, that is completely inappropriate! You need to stop going to him straight away, and make a report to the appropriate authority about his conduct. It's unprofessional, illegal, and very threatening to a lot of women. Good luck, I hope this helps.

YES! Inappropriate indeed! In the first place - as a professional - he is not supposed to flirt with his patients. An exception of course is if, aside from having a doctor-patient relationship, you are also friends.

Sexual jokes are a form of sexual harassment. If it makes you uncomfortable, it's inappropriate. I recommend that you stop going to this doctor and report him.
