My assistant manager/step-sister always has an attitude. She claims that nothing is wrong and if anything I am annoying her by asking all of the time. We work in a retail store and when someone asks for help she always seems bothered or annoyed. This is obviously not good for business and it brings everyone down. Because she is family it is difficult to approach without leading to an argument. how do I tell her to shap up before I let her go?

Yesterday I went in for a job interview, I did really well, however they started to tell me all of this information that did not sound like the job I had applied for. If I get the job, I don't know how to properly turn it down. What do I say?

I am not commenting or blaming or imputing any group of people or any body but asking to know views of people.
IS it true that many times many people just see & ignore violation of laws by others until it affects them directly & personally????
IS it true that even many times many of them also ignore ill behaviour & wrong done with them; they don't take pains & don't go so long to get the justice ; they just try to forget or avoid the wrongs????
IF yes, what are the reasons of such ignorant & wrongful compromising behavior????
What do u all think about it?
Want to know your views ; by the way I live in India.

Someone asked 'What do women find wrong with guys in wheelchairs?"

My answer was that women have an instinct which attracts them to the best provider/protector i.e. strong and virile men. And that was nothing compared to what others were saying about inability to perform. Now it says I can't even view the question. Whats up with that? Does it mean the asker banned me or some ****** moralist who hates to read honest truth randomly kicked me? I really want to know what others think so I don't get locked out of every question I answer honestly.

Her 6 year-old daughter was born with a clump of blood vessels under her upper lip that swells and makes her mouth look distorted.

I was using Photoshop to remove the lump to see what she would look like . . .my friend saw the file when she was using my computer and started crying . . .now she won't talk to me. What should I do?

Why are Americans such prudes about topless beaches and nude beaches? It doesn't bother me, but in Europe noone cares. In this country we seem to raise our children to be impaired by these images when there is nothing wrong with them. Where does this mentality come from? In the South Seas women go topless as well as Africa.

I just moved into a condo complex. I chose it because it was so quite (I work from home so I need it quite during the day so I can concentrate). My neighbor has their TV/subwoofer against our joined wall and all day I hear the whoomp whoomp whoomp to whatever they're listening to. I asked them lower it down but it is so constant from 10:30 am to 7pm I have a headache by the end of it all. Am I being too sensitive or should I ask again?

I've been renovating my kitchen and it's Murphy's Law the whole time - cabinets stuck in China, hiring contractors that either didn't show up or did a v. bad job, etc.

A few weeks ago I was at a lunch for work and after being asked about my kitchen I mentioned that I'd just fired contractor number four. A Faculty member (I work at a small school) I know only slightly referred me to his contractor.

This contractor was perfect - did a great job, on time, same price as the estimate, etc. After not having a working kitchen for five months (!) you can imagine how grateful I am to this faculty member for the referral.

I've called to thank him when he first gave me the contractor info. I don't want to be too over the top, but what do you think about sending the faculty member a card and maybe a small gift?

Hi,

I am a flight attendant... the other day while working a short 2 hours trip, one of our passengers asked me, in a rather rude way, if there was nothing I could do to make the 3 or 4-years old kid behind him stop crying.
I told him that was more of his parents's jobs (the boy was travelling with both parents and they BOTH were listening to their iPods) .... finally I discretely told the mother that her boy was disturbing the other passengers and could she please try something to quiet him down. She looked at me with those evil eyes meaning "how do YOU dare telling me how I should raise my child!¨.... and she did nothing....

Now, what should I have done? (If anything) ... Normally I never say anything because I don't want to interfere but maybe I'm wrong.

I'm sending the question just to get opinions/thoughts.
My mom lives with me (in my house) and she has relatives (a couple) coming over to visit for 2 days and she wants them to stay at my house. I don't have problem with that.. but my MOM wants the couple to occupy the Masters bedroom!! Now she is asking me if me and my partner can sleep for 2 days at my partner's house while the visitors are at my house! I am the kind of person who avoids argument so I'm really upset with that and I don't know how to tell my MOM that her decison is NOT RIGHT!! We have 3 bedrooms , but she does not want the guests to sleep in the guest rooms because it has 2 double beds only! I told my MOM my concern that it seems not right to give the Masters BR.... but she says that AM SELFISH!!!!!!!! That's always been the case whenever we have visitors.. but this time that I have a partner living in with me , I think it's just time to stop my over-generousity of giving away the Master BR!Am I selfish????

Please help me settle this disagreement.

Where you live, is it considered common, uncommon, or just plain rude to go straight to the head of the line to pay for your gas? Most gas stations today have convenience stores where customers can play lottery, buy cigarettes, or other items. If you're only paying for gas, is it okay to go to the head of the line and hand the attendant your money? What if you require change?

(Please give your city and state)

My friend who is a girl rides a bus to work every morning. On many occasions, she rides the same bus as this guy who keeps asking her out on a date. It's not clear whether it's romantic or not, either way, she has a boyfriend, but she's just not too interested, either in the date or in the person. She's just refused all the last dates, but hasn't made it clear that she doesn't really ever want to go out with him. If she just mentions she's not available, he could probably just turn it around and say it's nothin glike that. What are some good and bad ways to turn down a guy?

I have been in IT for almost 10 years now and when i first started i was arrogant, ignorant, egotistical and rude of course but eventually over the last few years i have realized you can not treat people the way IT people do its not good business practice and just down right stupid behavior, just because you are good at your field does not give you the right to step on people who are less knowledgeable then you are and also they think they are better, i dont know i am just so different with people now than i was years ago, it just frustrates me to work with people that behave this way. share your thoughts with me

Not only do I have a limited grocery budget, but I also buy products that are meatless, soy-based, and organic, which means a "food sharing" situation wouldn't work because my roommates don't buy the same type of food.
It was fine when they would ask (giving up a slice of bread or two wasn't a terrible hardship), but I would later find most of the item eaten within a day, and now unopened containers of the food I've purchased are being opened and consumed without asking.
I'd just like to find the best way to approach my request that they don't take my food, seeing as I have a rather large fear of confrontation.
