Just say 'Sorry, I don't give out that information'. You don't owe them a big explanation about how long you think you must know someone, etc. Don't make excuses.

Wow...that's a hard one. If you live far away, then state that you would not be around in the child's life very much and she should pick someone that can be around to help. If not that, I am really not sure. Perhaps you could say that you would love to, but know that you would not be able to hold up such a high honor due to--examples: being the godmother of other peoples children and having kids of your own, traveling a lot with your job, not being very religious therefore not thinking that you are the person that should help with spiritual development, etc. Just thoughts, hope I helped.

say that your phone and email is not working at the moment but you will take there information instead and contact them later when your means of communication are up an running again. So then they wont walk away feeling hurt. And you can decide yourself later if you ever want to contact that person.

Try: "I'm flattered, but I don't give out personal information to people I don't know."

Or something along those lines. If you're honest and direct, the only thing that can upset the guy is the sound of his pride being crushed.

And if being turned down by one girl crushes his pride, he's probably insecure anyways.

Simply say or type that sharing this information is to soon in your relationship.(if this is the case). When you get to know someone a little better, this could change.

These two items are very personnel information. It needs to be used cautiously.

You could make up an email address (gmail, hotmail, etc) and give them that. Mention you do NOT give out your phone number, but here is your (new email) email address.

Or just state you don't give out that information.

It depends on who the ask-er is, however One could always say, I never give out personal info
