That was the first thing we use to do everyday when I was in school. If not should they or shouldn't they tell me why.

The schools in Connecticut still say the Pledge of Allegiance, thank goodness. I remember, "Under God" was added when I was in grade school.

I think the Pledge should be said in schools, before special government programs to honor the nation that has given to so many, the opportunity to prosper not only monetarily, but through all the freedoms that are offered. When we pledge our allegiance, we are saying we believe in the American way of life and will honor it by fighting for our rights as citizens. Whether you believe in the war or not, the point is, our troops are protecting our nation where ever they are stationed, and will do so even unto death. I am proud of being an American and hope others feels the same way by honoring our flag and what it stands for.

Which variation do you like? you do not in basic terms like the 1954 variation. How approximately the 1924 variation? the 1923 variation? How approximately the 1892 variation? by utilising the way, McCarthy was already see as being out of handle in 1953. the version in 1954 (as in 1923 and 1924) was for Flag Day. we don't have relaxing that anymore, do we? The 1896 variation was written in honor fo Columbus Day (a further neglected expedition). At what factor do we supply up feeling that patriotism is suited? I wager it was the equivalent time we stopped doing our learn formerly than we show our loss of expertise.

Yes they still say the pledge. They recite it in spanish at my nieces' school! I'm not joking. So many illegals have taken over our schools that the elementary school decided to say it in spanish! LOL
It get's better! My sister complained & said her daughter is expected to recite in in english. You can imagine the uproar over her "intolerance" for taking that position. Then this 6th grade girl from Mexico City who just came to the US pointed out that her parents expect her to learn english & that they don't say the Mexican pledge of alligence in english down in Mexico & that ours shouldn't be said in spanish.
From the mouths of children...

they should say the pledge. especially in a time of war this country should never forget what the troops are fighting for whether or not we agree, they should def value our flag by saying the pledge.
