How to tell a person is not polite to ask personal questions to others when there's not enough trust, or when people doesn't know well each other? Why so many people insists in asking others if they have a girlfriend/boyfriend, how much do they earn, when they'll get married, how much do they weigh and many other rude questions? How to explain to them it is rude, without having to offend them.

It is getting so I hate to even turn on the television these days. Even fast food commercials such as BurgerKings so called family connections with the father and son are unethical and sending the wrong message to our young people. The son, whopper Jr , sasses his father , even tells him to kiss his bun in one ad, and then in another the father tells the son to keep a napkin in his wallet, just in case. This is going too far. What ever happened to moral decency on television. Do we now have to have parental controls for fast food commercials too??

Guys rarely reject women. They never act like they are to pretty to even speak to a female. Women on the other hand, mainly the pretty ones, act is if they are so pretty or so all that they can't even speak to a guy. Just a simple hi how are you today. That would make a guy like me feel really good to be noticed and shows me her personality as a friendly person. I have women at my job who does this everyday at work. I am a blue collar worker. These ladies on my job are in the professional department (office workers, secretaries, administrative staff). These ladies will see other people mosty other females or other people they know and like to speak to. They will walk directly pass me and say nothing but will speak to the other people. They don't know me like that to be acting this way. I have never done anything wrong ever to them to make them act this way. I'm a quiet dude who just comes to work and do my job. I don't bother anyone or cause trouble. Why do I always get ignored?

Hi, my boyfriend has a habit of walking infront of me and then saying 'come on' in a clipped fashion, like you would to a child or dog. I've snapped at him a couple of times for saying it like that as I don't want to be going out with my father nor do I appreciate it in public as I think it's a bit rude. It really does sound like how you would say it to a dog if you wanted it to heel.

Anyway, we're out for a meal yesterday and he gets to the door of the pub, I'm left behind as usual (why can he never walk with me?), he says 'come on' in the clipped voice and then WHISTLES like you would to get a dog to come to you.

Now, he found this funny. So when we were stood at the bar, I said that I wasn't having a go as I understand he was only joking, but that I don't find it amusing so can he please stop doing it.

To this, he huffs and puffs, rolls his eyes tells me I'm pathetic and is in a mood for the next 10 mins while I apologise for having brought it up.

Should I lighten up?

My took this woman I've been dating to a steakhouse, and ordered a steak. I never eat a steak without a fork - I prefer to use my hands. A steak is really no different than a hamburger without the bread, and it doesn't really matter. Why did she get so mad at this?

For example, "Hey, that looks like Brad Jonas pushing that shopping cart over there. I guess winning the, 'Most Likely to Succeed,' award isn't such a great barometer of future success after all."

This happened a couple weeks ago. Some old guy was taking out my groceries and as he handed em over for me to put in my car. He had the nerve to say, "you know we work for tips"....I was thinking no f*ckn $hit? but instead of being upset about it. I said, "got any change?" "Yea I got some!" This ol' geezer pulls out a wad of cash a drug dealer would envy. It was so thick I don't know how it fit in his pocket. It was 4-5 inches thick. Had to been easily 100 dollars there maybe 250. A typical teen like myself barely makes any money and some retiree is asking for my money. I'm already serving his a$$ by being in the military. This completely blew my mind and it still bothers me. What would your honest reaction be? I wish I weren't such a nice person on the outside sometimes...I can't believe someone would say that...please share your stories!

...does that mean that *I* can step in and initiate the proper form of discipline (which is a spanking, in case you're wondering)?

Okay, okay, I'm being sarcastic on this one. I wouldn't really do this. But you gotta admit, it's tempting sometimes, is it not? I mean, if a kid in a store is throwing stuff, being loud, and an all around pain in the behind, how can you NOT want to turn it over your knee and whack his setter five to eight times? And honestly, the throwing stuff, the screaming, and the all around loudness isn't nearly as intolerable if the parent makes proper effort to correct the kid.

for that matter, I have observed that kids are taught less manners and more on how to be a little "Princesses" BARF!
OR if they are boys, little wise-a*ses. Kids make going anywhere a hassle IF you chose not to have one.
What happened to real parenting?
And respect for others?

Hi all,
My friend's mother passed away on Friday. The visitation is being held tomorrow evening...at the same time as my husband's monthly association meeting. He is not allowed to bring kids to his meeting, which means I am stuck with them tomorrow night (my kids are 7, 5, & 2). My question is.....is it inappropriate to bring the kids to the visitation (of course, I would not let the kids see the body or know what is going on)? I really want to go offer support to my friend whom I've known for 26 years (since we were 4). Please offer up your advice...how would you feel if you were my friend & I brought my kids?
thanks.

I have one towel rack and one large towel on the towel rack. When I have a group of people over, the towel is almost always in some weird position as if its been removed and thrown around and then just casually place din the vicinity of the towel rack. Isn't this rude? Shouldn't the towel be in the same shape it was in when they got there, except maybe a little more wet, since they've used it to dry their hands?
