I usually have a 3 year old with me so I talk to her and look around with her, until she gets antsy, then I struggle with her until we're at the head of the line. I avoid waiting in line whenever possible.

I usually make a mental note of my priority list. Things to do that i have not done yet that day. It helps keep me focused and helps me to reflect on things that I may have forgotten to do. This way by the time I am served in line, I have been constructive and I have something else to fill my time with when I am done. Hoped this helped.

Listen to the music (with my MP3player) watch the people around(they usually start up a conversation and i hate it) if I know it would be a long line I definitely take a book or something with me.

I am very patient person. I just wait. I do stay off the phone. I think it rude and people around you do not need to hear everything that is going on in your life. I especially hate it when I need to hear something and someone has to yap as loud as they can. Cell phones have really made a lot of people lose their manners.

Cogito cogito, ergo cogito sum!

(I think that) I think, therefore I (think that) I am (waiting!)

Honestly, I just think about every damned thing under the sun. I find it a good opportunity to reflect on everything in life.
