WOMEN: SAME QUESTION?

I was at my boyfriends house the other day and we were talking with his mother, she asked me what i was studying at uni, and i told her medicine. She replied by asking 'Oh, so do you want to be a nurse?'. I smiled and told her i wanted to be a doctor.
I could see my boyfriend was quite embarrased but his mother was n't bothered, and i don't think she she likes me, which makes me question this. What do you think?
By the way i'm black and he's white.

I hit this lady's car in a parking lot and she has been very kind about it. She knows I have no job right now and that I will need to pay a $2300 bill (by selling my unused car) . My dad works at the dealership where she is getting it fixed and the machanics told him that they have never seen someone so nice ...she wouldn't even rent a car to save me the expense and she will be without one for a week....I know that I need to say or wright somthing to her but im horrible with words help!?

My neighbor is a stay-at-home mom who cuts and colors hair at her home from time to time. She has offered to cut my hair for $20 and color and highlight for $50. Since she is not working for someone, she keeps all of the profit. Should I tip her?

I was walking the dog in the park when I saw a little girl walking with her dad, she was around 10 and wearing a tight top, skinny jeans tucked into heeled boots and a smart jacket.
And what were they talking about?
She was telling him how to make a 'caterpillar' out of daisies!
It just struck me as such a contradiction from her dress to her converstation, it was really sad.

Here me out everyone! I'm one of those nice people that aren't racist to anyone no matter what culture... ahem... had to clear my throat. So here it is, my Black friend called me a ****@. I'm white and I figured okay what's up my ****@, because we're friends and I thought he would be cool with it, but Oh,Noze!, he got pissed off at me and said "You can't say that ****@ to me!!! That's racist!!" I was like "Well, you said it to me... LOL." he was like "Oh, um... well that's different... It's okay if I say it to you because you're White."

I told him to not call me that word If can't say it back to him in a friendly way... The word ******* is racist, but ****@ is a different meaning.

It's weird because I have another Black friend that doesn't mind if I use it to him... he don't care as long as I use the A at the end.

What's your thoughts on this, double standard?

I was just emptying the trash the other day and I ran across a Q-tip. I was looking at it wondering why they would come up with a Q then tip. Do they think the shape of the human ear is in the shape of a "Q"? I don't get it. Anyone else get it?

I've been going to the same hairdresser for a long time. She is a young lady who is the BEST at cutting hair.

She is always telling me how cute I am and how lucky she is to cut my hair...which always results in a good tip for her.

She is always rubbing against me while giving me my haircut, so I decided to finally act on it and reach around and grab her buttocks while she was cutting my hair.

She immedietly backed off, pushed me and started yelling at me, making a HUGE scene in front of everyone in the salon.

She then refused to cut my hair and ran into the back crying...

Why would she say all of these things to me, and then react so negativly when I acted upon her advances...

what is worse, I don't think anyone else could cut my hair like she did.

I was thinking of sending her 100.00 in hopes that she'll forget the situation and cut my hair again...what else can I do?

I am in college; and I am so broke; and I was asked to strip for a birthday party. I can leave my thong or pantyhose on.
No cameras or phones allowed...and I can earn tips by doing lap dances. It would be my first time. Would you wear a thong or strip to your pantyhose?

I'm 25, and all my life, my parents have known some family friends. They have kids a few years older than me, so I would often get their hand-me-down toys. One of them, was a Weeble People playset.

Now, the 'kids' whose stuff I used to get have kids of their own. Now, the 'grandma' is asking my mom for the weeble people BACK. Unfortunatley, my idiot mother threw them away many, many years ago.

I found the exact same Weeble set on Ebay. Should I buy it and give it to my mom for a birthday present (to give back to the friends)...

OR...

Is it extremely tacky for the grandma to be asking for the toys back, 20 years later?

recently accepted a position for a new job, it's at a country club and I was hired as seasonal help. I'm a college student,

Tomorrow, I'm meeting with my new manager to discuss my schedule and any days off that I might need this summer. I need a few days off and I'm a little wary about addressing this subject. I don't want to sound like a slacker asking for all these days off; however, all these events have been planned in advance and I can't really break my commitments for them. I hadn't planned on taking a new job this summer, until this great oppurtunity came along. As a result, I scheduled these events knowing I won't have an problem getting the days off, as my old job allowed me to take time off.

I need one day in early June and another in mid-August. In addition, my father is also having major sugery during the week of 4th of July. I absolutely must be at the hospital the day of the surgery and for the week he will be there recovering

T.I.P.S
To Insure Proper Service.

We were @ a reasturaunt and I told my husband that the waitress was awful and we should not tip her. My husband argued a bit till I explained what tips actually means. My point is that if the waitress/waitor does a poor job then they have not earned it. A tip is not just a given, as many people believe.
