My son was selling coupon books for school. I ordered some & brought one to work Wedsnesday so a coworker & I could take advantage of a buy one get one free lunch. Another coworker asked to see the book, asked if they were still being sold. I told her "No, but I have an extra one. If you want it, they cost $15". She kept it at her desk to look at it.
Yesterday, she was out for most of the day but before I left, I made a point to get the book returned. Last night, when I went to use it, I noticed that she had taken several of the coupons out of it, some of which I bought the book for.
Anyone that knows me KNOWS that if you just ask me, I will share. But, she did not ask, she just took what she wanted.

Am I being petty about this? Neither of us is in a better situtation than the other. But, I teach my kids that stealing is wrong & to me, this is stealing.

Please give me your honest opinions.

Now i'm not the type to make fun of over weight people and some are over weight because of their thyroid being out of whack now that i said that here's my question.
Yesturday at a grocery store i'm standing behind two huge women in late 20's or early 30's.
They were arguing about which diet pills they should try because at the check out there were like 15 choices of pills and meal replacement bars , drinks etc...Well they finally chose hydroxycut and a south beach meal bar.
I admit i got a little nosey so i looked at the conveyor belt and noticed ALL junk food, 4 -12pks sodas, chips with cheddar cheese dip, hungry man dishes the list went on, the only healthy item in there was TOILET paper lol.
Then cashier is ringing up items they both tell her to wait before subtotaling so they can find a candy bar on the candy rack.
Now my question is if you really want to lose weight and spending 34 dollars on pills what's with all the junk food. There is no magic pill that erases all the crap

For me it's when you go though the effort of answering someones question, And they dont even have the decency to choose it as best answer. They just let it go to vote.

What gets to you on here????????

I have this huge crush on a girl I met a little over a month ago. Despite all the signals I've given her, it seems that someone else has won her over. Recently this week, she met a guy and started dating and they're now in a relationship. :( I still hang on to the small glimmer of hope that maybe things can work out between us but I'm not holding my breath, and I guess we're just friends now. Her 20th birthday is coming up next month, and I bought her a emerald birthstone bracelet (my birthstone too) for her birthday before she started seeing this guy. Is it appropriate to give her jewelry maybe as a symbol of friendship? What kind of jewelry would be appropriate to give her in this case, is a bracelet ok? Also how appropriate would it be if in case I gave it to her in the presence of her other friends or even her new boyfriend, should I give it to her when we're alone?

I need to give my dad a letter, with things I've been meaning to tell him for years now. What form should I do it in? Should I hand write it on lined notebook paper? Should I hand write it on some stationary paper? Should I type it? What do you all think?

I was outside of work on a smoke break. A guy in a car drove up and said " You looked so fine from behind that I wanted to stop and say hi." So I said thanks and thought he'd leave. He kept asking me questions and I didn't really want to give him any information about myself, so I said that I had to go, and he said I was being a bi*ch. I thought I had been nice enough to talk to this guy I didn't even know.Do guy's really think this is a good way to meet a woman? Was I being a bi*ch? What should I have done?

I don't know why people ALWAYS ask me "How old are you?". I find this question to be really, really rude and irrelevant. When I was in my teens - I answered. When I was in my 20's I answered. But after 25, I literally stopped counting and just live how I feel. But EVERYONE (even people I have just met for 5 mins) asks me my age. Co-workers, family friends, friends of friends, my friends kids, etc. I find this question equally as rude as asking me my weight or my bra size.
My answer is "forever sweet 16".

But even in general society isn't this a rude question? Or is this as normal question as asking what a person does for a living?

I am a Chef at a restraunt that just changed owners,i have been there going on 3 years.I'm aware that along w/new owners comes new policies, the question I want to ask is this"Should the waitstaff share tips with the Chef? That was the way it was w/the old owner. The new owners have NO restraunt exp. or knowledge and depend on me for more than cooking(ordering, inventory, menu planning etc)None of the waitstaff have ever waited before and they rely heavily on me to teach proper serving techniques and manners when dealing with a less than joyful patron(Thank God there are very few !)I get to work two hours earlier than anyone else, bust my behind setting up the kitchen,I do my lunch-rush thing, then I do the clean-up at which time i watch the servers sit down and talk(on the clock) The owner is my co-worker and see's it all but doesn't give a hoot,(i would sit too but i have a life outside of my job)I really like my job but i feel that the servers should share their tips w/me what do U think?

Yesterday I went to get a massage because my mingraine was really hurting. I went into this place and I had a coupon that they honored. I gave an envelope to the receptionist at the front desk and she said she would give the gratuity to the lady who would be serving me with massage.

After I was done the receptionist said Arent you going to leave a tip on the debit card too. I walked out. Not even 30 minutes later I get a call from the massage place asking if I dropped off the tip I left in the enveolpe So I checked my car and my puse just to take sure I did not take it by mistake. I called back and said I did not have it they said dont worry then they called back to say they found the tip and that they misplaced it sorry about that.

For all of you that are in the service industry Did you find this odd and unprofessional and very tacky and rude and nasty?

What is your take on this and is that a way to treat a customer? I will NEVER go back again.

Do you find it gross when girls are all up on eachother at the club? When I'm out & drinking, I like to have fun. Last night me and my friends were getting our dance on(a bit wild) and these hoochies were straight muggin' us. It's not like we were up on the bar doin' body shots or anything. We were just havin' fun. Why were they hatin'? There was a couple literally having sex up on the platform. No one was lookin' at them crazy.

I am doing an informal presentation at my school on some research I did last summer at another university. I asked the prof i worked with over the summer for information or ideas for resources to use to add more info to my presentation and he suggested a book that costs over $35. He said he'll purchase it for me, but I'm not sure whether I should just pay for it myself (i am a college student with not much money and it's not a book i'll read many times, but it will be perfect background and is only available by purchase) or if i should accept his offer to purchase it. What do you think? He is really nice and I just can't tell if he is offering to be nice or if he really wants to purchase it for me.

ok driving, is it jsut me or do people suck at driving? People seem to do the most idiotic things and they are never paying ttention. One of the biggest things that bugs me is people that pull out in front of you, and then they go like 10 miles an hour. who else expericences this?

Why is it that people walking in the opposite direction, having the space to step aside, never have the common courtesy to move? They usually walk right down the middle, always stay their course, and sometimes even walk too close to you. Sometimes I fake a cold and cough, so they would stay in their own "lane". These are also probably the same people that stand and talk, or park their carts in the middle of grocery store ailses. I'm a smoker as well and I also wear my smelly hoodie just to keep them from getting too close, and that doesn't even work. Does anyone know what's mentally wrong with these people? Do they have a sense of their surroundings? Like bats with faulty radar, I'm sure these are the same type of people who get hit by cars jaywalking. To me they are more annoying than people who talk too loud on their cell phones.

I know many girls right now that are either getting married or having babies. Some of them are close friends, others are not. I'm getting a little frustrated because I feel that some of my "friends" don't want anything to do with me unless it's an occasion where I'm required to bring them a gift. When one of them became pregnant, she literally stopped talking to me for months and rarely returns my phone calls. I understand that her lifestyle has changed and she isn't interested in going out and partying anymore, but she can't even be bothered going to lunch or anything because she's always "too tired." And when we do talk, it's all one sided, only about her pregnancy. She never asks me about anything going on in my life. So my question is, how do I handle this? I don't have the $ to buy gifts for all these part time friends, but at the same time, I don't want to burn bridges or cause any awkwardness between us because we do have many mutual friends.
