Unless it is after 10pm (On a weeknight) and before 7am there is nothing you can do. If it wakes you up just go over there and ask them if there is anyway to close them quieter because it wakes you up. Be nice...try taking a plate of cookies so it doesn't look like you are a complainer.

I assume you live in an apartment right? Ask them to sit in your apartment while you go in their apartment and slam their windows, see how they respond to that. It worked for me once but it was for another reason. They just didn't realize how much noise they made. It worked.

Sometimes old apartment windows don't glide down and you have to apply force to move them and make sure they shut all the way... in other words GET OVER IT.

i'm assuming you stay in an apt. contact your landlord. there are laws in most states. you have the right to a certain level of peace and quiet. even if you stay in a house, in some cities (if not all) there are ordinances which state how loud you can be. they even have 'noise meters'. lol. you can get a fine.

does it disturb u?...if yes, maybe they are not so much aware of the slamming due to their personalties..maybe you could help them to minimize it by talking to them in a nice way :)..gudlak!
