For me it's when you go though the effort of answering someones question, And they dont even have the decency to choose it as best answer. They just let it go to vote.

What gets to you on here????????

silly questions-like am i pregnant?

people who answer your question but DONT....

like if you ask, has anyone ever been to malaga? and they say no or yes......

but yeah it does annoy me when you give someone a really good answer, and they dont bother putting it as best answer.

Your suggestion is a good one...I write all of my Answers off the cuff, and I never copy & paste unless I need a direct quote or link. Then the Asker apparently ignores the Answers and lets it go to vote. On the plus side, usually the OTHER people who Answered forget about it, too, so I just vote for myself and win!

Second, speaking of copy & paste, it requires NO knowledge, and very little effort, to C & P an entire web page (such as a Wikipedia entry). That is not an Answer; that is providing reference material for the Asker to look up the Answer himself!

Also, why do people ask Questions when they could obtain the Answer easily on their own? For example, a Question like "how can I tell if I'm pregnant?". The Answer to that Question is readily available, without having to ask anyone else.

A Question like yours, Cowboy573, is a GOOD Question. You're fishing for thoughts, opinions and ideas, not just a simple black-and-white Answer.

Oh i have a few.
People who pick your question apart like one minor spelling error and they call you stupid. Or twist questions around.
I also hate when i get people responding to my answers through email weeks after i answered the question...whatever!
Or the violations for something not even against violations and rules set by Yahoo ,just some one mad that i gave a better answer and was chosen so i lose the 10 points (whoopty doo) oh noo not my 10points.
Or when given a thumbs down when clearly my answer was pretty good.
People who are doing these things, this is yahoo answers a place to get answers to questions you don't want to ask people in person or to get quick answer while having 15 other opinions to choose from.
stop getting so sensitive!!!
Thank you for letting me vent you get a STAR from me!

People who ask questions based on assuming a false logical assumption as true, with the result that seems there can only be one answer which backs up their position.

Example: Since eating red meat leads to an early death, everyone who wants to see their kids get married and have grandchildren should become a vegetarian right?

There are some wonderful answers here. People don't choose best answer sometimes because they are away and can't get at a computer. I had this happen last week.

When people are just rude,or write 'who cares?' if they don't care why do they bother to answer? and those who write with caps lock...and yes you have a point but this is a case when it comes to very serious questions and you have given a good answer....some people don't sign in everyday! How come??? ;)

It's not really an etiquette thing, but what really annoys me is when people can't spell and don't even bother to use spell check. Sometimes the spelling and grammar is so bad I can't understand the question.
Linked with that is some people's habit of using phone-text shorthand. There's no need for that: you have a full qwerty keyboard in front of you.

I find most annoying the tendency of some to use Y/A as a soapbox for their own personal issues rather than to ask a genuine question for which they are seeking honest answers. If I wanted to be preached to I would join a church.

Mine is the same as yours plus the fact that the voters don`t seem to read all the answers and the Best Answer always seems to be the first one !

Oh god - the 'could I be pregnant/?' questions are a pain.
Or when someone asks a question and they keep responding and by presssing edit it after every answer that they dont agree with. Its not a debate forum!
