I challenge anyone to find in writing what this means and to prove it. To my knowledge it could mean many things, not all of them insulting. I dont do it around strangers anymore because people have gotten so over sensitive, but if I dont do it to my friends they think I'm comeing down with something. I personally think too many of us are hung up about nothing, Am I wrong?

My pastor, His entire family, our youth group along with myself all went to Thailand on a short term world missions trip durring Christmas 2004. Everywhere we went the always wanted to feed us for some reason. I mean we were absolutly stuffed when we got to this one orphanage to do our ministry. We walk in to this huge spread of food. The children so excited that we came. Now this was no usual food either. Thia food is very different. After that we learned to try a nibble at least. We didn't want to insult them. Yet I wonder, is it really insulting if you refuse when its offered and if so then why?

We live in a single family home neighborhood. Our inconsiderate neighbors frequently park their cars in front of OUR house, and their guests do the same, while the street in front of their house is empty. What can we do?? We are tired of having to look at their cars constantly. We don't speak to them because they're JERKS generally. Any suggestions?

Should I sneak a nonchalant glance, be more overt about it or not look at all? Women, what do you think? Guys, what do you do when confronted with this? Sometimes if they are letting it hang out I check it out without being observed but other times I don't mind if the girl knows I am looking at them. What do you think?

Why do people do that? I mean, dont they find it rude, hurtful and disrespectful? I bark at my cousin everytime he does that.

Hi
I travel regularly on business and have always checked reviews of hotels that I stay at before I book them. Many times some reviewers on such sites as tripadvisor have given the hotels very bad reviews and other reviewers good reviews. I have always ended up being apprenhensive about staying at a hotel but so far have not had any problems.

In the event that I do stay at a hotel and my worst fears are confirmed with the hotel being an absolute nightmare, for instance, some of the reviewers have posted:

- no hot water for 2 days
- rooms dirty
- staff rude
- too much noise
Wheras others have said "wonderful stay," " best hotel" etc.

What is the best course of action to take with the hotel? What legal obligations do USA hotels have to their customers? Do I write a formal letter outlining my complaint and personally hand it to the manager? Can the hotel just say, sorry there is nothing we can do about it, and that's that?

What is the best way to get a hotel complaint dealt with?

A good friend just had one at the end of her 1st trimester. I know later today she'll be home resting, do you think its better to stop off in person and try to deliver them, or have the store do it?

Employee compensation is strictly between the employer and employee and is solely the responsibility of the employer. I would never presume to interfere with that relationship. If the business has to raise prices, I can decide whether or not I want to pay for what you have to sell.
Some advice for those who feel the need to display a tip jar for me to ignore:
1. Go ask your boss for a raise.
2. Refuse to work for minimum wage.
3. Find a better job.
4. Improve your skill set.
5. Join a union and get the benefits of collective bargaining.

While I'm on a rant...Why are consumers so stupid? We work all day for other people's benefit and then when we are the customer,we perform unpaid work. The one that really kills me is when people bus their table after they have paid their hard earned money to eat in a restaurant.Would you mop the floor for them if they put out a mop and bucket for you?Do you like eating off tables caked with dried ketchup? You're the customer.Leave it for them.

is it ok for a 16 girl to study outside right next to her front door during an all nighter? i live in a small town. no house robberies, thugs, or anything of the kind. very quiet after 11 pm. i find it more relaxing to study outside in a quiet, open space. after spending all day in my house office, it gets a vibe that just does not help with my studies. however, well, it's still the middle of the night and well, i don't want my parents for some reason waking up and not finding me inside (although i'm sure i'll hear them looking for me) and thinking i've snuck out (which i'v enever done btw. i'm an overall goody two shoes :P)
PS: they are already asleep so i cant really ask them right now

How comfortable are you with your body? If somebody told you they wanted to see you naked, would you let them? If so, why, and if not, why not? For the record, I would, and do often. LOL Am I the only one?

met this guy last december..he works at the gym I frequent..and he seemed really nice..and he told me when I initally met him. that if I ever wanted to go to a movie or hang out to call him, but we ended up not really following through with that..so we exercised together..and he just could not stop smiling, plus he asked me to work out with him again..so i felt there was some interest but when I called him to go out to go get starbucks he told me he was busy and he would let me know..but he never did..so finally a month passes and I see him at the gym for the first time in two months..and he;s grinning..and I asked him why is he always smiling, he said well I do that when I see people I know..so we conversated for a little while, and he explains to me that he's been stressed out with alot of things..and he aplogizes..and he says"I think we should go get that starbucks you were talking about" and he told me leave saturday open but to remind HIM on thursday...

But the thing that gets me is Why did he ask me to remind HIM? HE says because he may forget..but I truly don't think so..Do you think he 's playing some type of game..or am I being to paranoid.. plus he reminded me that he can't figure out why I always call him on a friday or a saturday and not on any other day..so if he can remember that..how come he can't remember a date he's set up..?

My sister-in-law told me to send my husband to Peru, his home town, for a surprise 40th birthday. I told her I couldn't afford it. Later, she sends me an e-mail saying that she will pay my husbands plane fare, but she states that it's only $500. I looked at the fares and they were more like $860 per person. I'm assuming that I will have to put the other amount. Do you think I am unreasonable to get my feelings hurt because I'm not invited also? My birthday is 9 days later after my husbands. Or should I tell her thank you for the invite but my husband will pass up this opportunity?

I had plans to celebrate my birthday at a bar on a saturday night however my actual birthday was the Tuesday before. On my actual birthday on Tuesday a friend calls me and insists we go out to dinner that night and I invite only my closest friends for a more intimate get together. Also, he insists that everyone to pitch in and I not pay for the meal. When the bill arrived, I tried to at least cover the cost of the Alcohol however "another" friend told me to put my money away. At the end everybody pitched in and I didn't end up paying for my dinner. Later that evening the same "other friend" who told me to put my money away said that I was wrong for inviting people to my birthday dinner and not cover the bill. He said that people in the U.S. dont go out to dinner on their B-day expecting other people to pay and I should have paid in advance to avoid the issue.
I am so confused! Which friend is correct on how to handle this situation and should I be offended by the comment?

My girl and I where having a discussion about saying whom says hello first when entering a car. I say it's the person entering the car & she says it's the person already in the car. Same thing for the home situation, who says it first the person already there or the person entering.
