Ok dude, you're gonna love this answer. I am a 35 yr. old female and married with a kid.....If she grows balls enought to hit you, she better have enough balls to take being hit back!!!! I have told my 18 yr. old daughter from the time she could walk... if you are hit, then hit back! Same rules apply even now. Tell her to buck up!

Thats a really tricky question because, as some of the answers say, its not right to hit anyone, male or female.
However
If a girl full on hits a guy in the face & I'm not talking about a slap, I mean a full force punch then why shouldn't the guy hit her back? Fair enough generally men are much stronger than women but I've come across some women who can do much more damage than men and I don't see why men shouldn't be able to defend themselves if they're put in that situation.
People may disagree with me on this one & believe me I don't condone violence but at the end of the day if someone hits me first why shouldn't I defend myself? Same goes for blokes!

Only in a boxing match advertised as such. Or, if a woman has a knife and is trying to rob him, or threaten him for no reason. This does NOT include self-defense on the part of the woman.
Other than that, never.

If the girl has the "balls" to stand up to a guy and attempt to hit the guy there is no longer any "right" or "wrong" you hit them back. If they want to act tough they need to be hit...not saying you go as far as if they are a guy...just saying.

I've been taught to treat all women like your own mother ie. Don't hit them coz mother nature always favours the female.
Of course there are extreme exceptions (crazy female faction has you hostage and your tied to a chair).
AND you shouldn't be hitting people.

it is never ok to hit anyone. resolving problems through violence is trashy.
now, if a girl has the cojones to ball up her fist and go at it (for no particular reason) and beat a man, then she should be able to take it like a man.
i do not condone any sort of violence whatsoever, but i think it is ridiculous for some women to play the "you cant hit a girl" act while they are acting like mad men themselves. i have seen men hold back while a woman (not a lady) beats them down. im sorry, if you can hit like a man, you need to be able to take it like one as well.
some women do deserve to get hit, sorry to say it and sorry if no one likes that answer.

Self defense is the only time it's "ok" to hit anyone. If she hits him first, she should be hit back.

When they are little kids or when they are kidding around. But its never OK to hit hard. Girls are allowed to hit guys though.

The only time it is "okay" is when she is physically attacking him, he cannot get away from her, and he has to defend himself. And then he can only use as much force as is necessary to allow him to get away.
Hitting people is never acceptable except as self-defense. Not even in "play."
