am i the only one that thinks smacking gum is annoying? I HATE IT! This girl that sits behind me in class, OMGosh..that girl can smack some gum, and she'll lean up and it's like right in my ear and it's soooo loud! It kinda makes me mad..i thought i was just like a really mean person but i mean it's just manners to close your mouth...what do y'all think?

I really hate when they do that. I'd like to have a water pistol full of vinegar and squirt it in their mouth the next time they open it to crack.

When did they start allowing gum chewing, of any kind, in the class room? If the teacher won't do something about this rude behavior(and it IS rude), you might want to mention to this girl, that listening to her smack that gum, reminds you of an OLD COW CHEWING HER CUD!!!! That might make her take more notice of what she is doing.

Why do schools allow gum chewing now! I spent most of 7th grade on detention for gum chewing. I'd tell someone that you can hardly hear for all the smacking going on and see if they stop her from the chewing.

Well i have that problem about smacking my gum but some times i just cant help it but i try but when i am scared i smack my gum!!!

i think it's pretty rude to lean up to someone's ear and smack gum really loud. that's just inconsiderate. have you tried asking her politely to stop?

convinced it extremely is so annoying and at the same time as they ought to make that annoying 0.5 moaning/0.5 humming sound at the same time as they're doing it to. Makes me prefer to smack the gum proper out of their mouth.

That is annoying but I can tell you something that is 10 times more annoying - someone sitting next to you crunching on ice cubes all day long.

I think it's rude too, can you just turn around and ask her to stop because it's distracting you? If it's that loud, maybe you should also let the teacher know? Maybe the teacher can hear it too.

that is annoying (I'm not a big fan of gum myself). Did you try telling your teacher about this problem?
