You are confused about these values. As a democrat who helped fight for these things, I'll help you understand: Equality doesn't mean stealing from the rich to give to the poor. It means equal opportunity and recognizing the equality of people, that no person, in and of themselves, is better than another, though they might be better at something and thus benefit from their skills and knowledge without fear of being penalized for those things to give to those who do not have them. Justice is not fairness. Fairness is when if you have something, it must be given to everyone else because they don't have it, like bringing gum to school and having the teacher tell you, "Do you have enough for everyone?" Justice is when people get what they earn, and don't get things for what they do not earn. Justice is when people choose, by their behavior, what they get, and all have an equal chance to do that behavior, not to get the reward without the required effort. Equitable opportunity does not mean redistribution of wealth. It means equal access to education, to opportunity, NOT to reward without effort. Christ never made any message of economic justice or peace. You need to read the Bible (read it five times, though I am not religious). The principles of equality and justice espoused by our Founding Fathers are diametrically opposed to the socialism that is being pushed right now. So our those democrats who still value the fights we fought to gain real equality, real freedom. No socialist state has EVER supported those freedoms, that equality. You are being used.

To me ........... The lack of respect for anything even yourself........The decay of our society where we see more molesters, rapers, beating of elderly .......... people losing their minds no fear turning into trash rotting ...... and now a lot have no morals
Example the people looting laughing thinking it was all so funny in New Orleans while people were dying after the levees broke

Many of us still do
