My brother seems to think that when my grandma put her hands all over the meat in the soup (they weren't washed) and started pulling it apart with her hands and eating it as she was doing that that I should have no problem with this because it is family.

What is the proper way to respond to compliments? I get shy and just smile (and turn away sometimes.. how rude. i know) How about criticism? What is the "proper'' way to respond to it? I get on the defensive side, and ignore them (to prevent future conflict)

How about you? Any suggestions?

Ok I'm in a new choir in my school, but we don't have a stage name yet. The name has to be feminine (female choir), and it can either start with a "M" OR be about royalty OR about pride OR deal with the colors gold or purple

They get big houses for one person. One guy went to space. The list goes on forever. Why don't they use it to help the less fortunate? ;)

I have several friends who seem incapable of figuring out that it's time, and I wouldn't really say anything, but when they're guests in my home and the furniture smells bad afterward, what am I to do?

Are your judegements biased based on your preference for that song? For example, If its a song you like do you think "rock on" but if its a song you hate you think "what a distraction." Or do you always think its rude and unacceptable to blast music.

who used the employee restroom and you walked in tosee a GIANT pube on the toilet would you say something?

We are the only two women and I know its not mine, and we are responsible for cleaning it.

My question is this: Should I not say anything and go about my day or tell her to groom or wipe off the seat?

They did this last year for us as we live in an apartment and don't have room to host a party. It would just be immediate family members for cake, ice cream, and gift opening. They seemed OK with it last year, but my husband's Mom just looked beat!

While your statements were prejudicial in content, they merely reflected the nomenclatures permeating a subculture. I respect you as a man and don’t want to see you end on this note. I hope all those who you have helped over the years realize that freedom of speech is at stake here and support you vocally et al.!!!
Good luck and God bless

If I name my daughter,
Nappy Ho
I'm racist. But if I name her
Shake Yo *** You Nappy *** Ho
Then it's all good.
Right?

I remember I was having a conversation with a buddy of mine about a movie and I said "That movie is retarded". A couple of minutes later some lady who overheard me comes over and tells me "That's very disrespectful of you to say Retarded, my son is Retarded", and I told her "Oh, well you just called your son Retarded so what's the problem". She walked away mad, but was I really at the wrong here?

Why don't white people ever sue blacks over "their" racial remarks? I am not racist but simply curious as to why there is such a double standard?

I am 100% against animal testing and cruelty but I eat meat. Sometimes people make me feel bad that I eat meat, and make me feel like I'm a hypocrite. Sacrificing animals is a large part of my religion, so to be a vegetarian because it hurts animals would go against my religious beliefs. I know that the technique our religion has taught us to sacrifice an animal is the least painful to it.

How do I make people realize that I am not a hypocrite, but am strong in both my religious and moral beliefs?

Not too long ago, I had two separate occasions in which perfect strangers touched me. The first time, I was working at my desk at one of my jobs, and a client came up and touched me on the arm, even though I didn't give him permission to do so. The second time, another client saw me in another setting, and she actually GRABBED me by the arm as I was walking to stop me, so she could talk to me. I was really pissed off by this on both occasions, but I didn't say anything, because I was afraid I would lose control.

It get turns into stars when it gets typed into YA. It was pretty offensive on tv back in the 80's but now it's common to hear it uncensored on news reports and tv shows that are on as early as 7:00pm.
