and if i am speaking to the more femine of the two soulhd I ask about her "husband" or "wife" and yes they are legally married. they were married in Ontario.

My birthday passed a few weeks ago and I've been waiting FOR WEEKS for this one gift from one person. She is my au pair (like a nanny, but she lives with you) and she did this last year! I had to wait until the beginning of the next school year (I was born in march!!!) before she even bought the gift! But my sisters get their gifts the day before their birthday! Shes heading back home (South Africa) in June, should I wait for her to give me my gift or forget about it at all?

I sometimes see people doing this when I am out in public. Actually, when I see it happening, it's usually at Wal-Mart. There must be something in the air at Wal-Mart that makes people want to fight, because I also tend to see a lot of parents and kids going at it in there, too.

Not talking about casual conversation between a friend where you might use shortened words or slang but when someone responds to your personals ad and every time they write (every time) most of the words are mispelled. This person is mid 40's and claims to be a professional but I am getting the feeling that this person isn't too smart or maybe they just have bad computer skills? I make mistakes in my writing many times but I always double check it when sending it to someone I want to make a good impression on. Should I continue to email this person? Also they have been trying to get me to call them from the first email and I find that a little pushy as I prefer to email a few times so that I can ask some direct questions and observe the answers they give me before calling them on the phone.

Everyone knows that creationism is nothing more than a ploy to try and teach religion in schools. It's very obvious. Why do christians care so much if they teach evolution in schools. If any of these so called "christians" had ever actually read the Bible, then they would realize that pretty much all of science goes against the Bible. I bet if Christians had it their way, they would take science class totally out of school and teach the Bible.

So we had guest in our home yesterday and my mother used the restroom downstairs. A guest went in to use it later on and came right back out. I went in a little after to see what was wrong. It reeked! So I lite a scented candle that was already in the bathroom. Told my mother later that she should have used the restroom in her bedroom or lite the candle. She got MAD and told me I was RUDE. And she can use any bathroom bc she pays bills. Who was in the wrong here?

My best friend works as a baker. Her boss is a mean woman, with only one goal, to work as little as possible, and, leave all the work to the people under her to complete.

ok, so one of the employees took a month leave of absence, so, my friend ended up working 6 days a week, and, she is totally exhausted..-- yesterday, my friend was at work, and her boss tried to show her how to do something, and, my friend replied it dont work that way, so her boss corrected her in front of people for having bad english, and, asking if she spoke english and did she go to school..

so, my friend is very upset...regarding. this and does not know what to do...what do you think she should do? report the boss? file something...

advise please..thanks

I work in a bar, with a restaurant attached. Unfortunately, the restaurant's customer's children go running through the bar. They are not my customer's or my children. I try to discipline them to no avail. I tell the waitress but usually the parents let their children do what they want and become angered if anyone tries to point out that they are misbehaving. What is wrong with people????

It was a car dealer who pretended to place the cost of my car insurance under his credit card because my college credit card had not yet been activated. He just said to pay him back so I wrote him a check thinking he was helping me but he really didn't... And he cashed it... I called the insurance company to check my insurance and they told me I had never had insurance only a membership wich was around $57 a year.
I was thinking of writing him a letter and mailing it to his job but I don't know how I should approach him with this...

I am attending an engagement ceremony for a Muslim Indian couple in the United States. They will later get married in India, and I will not be attending. What is the etiquette for gifts?
