It depends on whether I believe I have the ability to defend my rights successfully. I usually base that decision on who is abusing my rights. In the case of government or people with high authority and money to back it up with, I may conclude that It would do me more harm than good to defend my rights. However, if it is other people such as family or companies, I may be more willing to defend my rights.

Whether I stand up for my rights also depends on which rights are being violated. I will defend my freedom to make my own decisions/determine my own future and other people's freedom to make their own decisions/determine their own future. I like to defend my rights and other people's through actions, though that isn't always possible. I am supportive of people defending their rights, as long as they haven't committed a crime, in which case I don't think they should have equal rights to me.

Yes I do. I am Pagan and I stand up everyday for my right to practice the religion of my choice. I don't hide in a closet.
If I need to I stand up for my rights for medical care, for issues I believe in, and I vote. Though in voting, I often have to choose between the lesser of two evils.
I believe that if everyone stood up for their rights our country would be in much better shape. (Rights are very different from religious beliefs, too many people get that confused)
