the kids in my class are so dumb. i am not talking academically but they are COMPLETELY disrespectful to my teacher. one kid is stupid and tells her he loves her when she corrects him and has even called her "baby". that isnt even the worse of it. they really dont pay attention at all. i really think they have ADD. the teacher will be talking about ww1 and a student will say "look the teacher wrote words in blue!" ten minutes after she has written something. we are in the 10th grade but these kids act like 2nd graders. should i stop holding in my feelings and tell them to shut up?

I am attending my boyfriend's uncle's wedding and would like to know what type of outfit, and what colors, would be appropriate. If it helps, it's an evening, sit down dinner in Portland.

I am doing some nice invitations for my 30th Birthday. It will be a garden party/ BBQ at home from 2pm onwards. I want the wording to be simple and informative but flow and look nice. Help! What the layout should be? Should I have myself in 1st/ 3rd person? These will be on a postcard design rather than a folded card. Any examples would be greatly appriciated

Alright so my best friend is one of those people who INSIST on paying for everything. Even when you try and pay for yourself, or if you try and pay her back for the money she spent on you.

*Anyways I feel like a total jerk of a friend, because whenever we go out she always foots the bill.
And I mean it was okay maybe the first couple of times...but now...it's just irritating me. It sucks though too at the same time, because whenever I tell her "Hey I'll pay for myself, don't worry about it." OR "I will pay you back." She totally will NOT accept any money I try and re-pay her back with.??!!
.So I am not sure if she is only footing the bill(s) because she doesn't want to look "cheap" or something? But it's odd because she should not reject me paying her back for footing a bill that I was part of.
.BUT that is my problem...she WONT accept my money for paying her back? Why? I'm also not sure if she is only doing this just to be able to say she does, or to use it against me later.

My cousin is getting married this June and my mom and I are in a row about what style dress is appropriate. We already agreed that whatever dress I got I would need a jacket or sweater for the church ceremony portion, but the reception is where we can't agree. I think that halter, spaghetti strap, and such dresses are fine as long as they cover everything and are age appropriate (I'm 19). My mom disagrees but there are almost no dresses commonly held of what she deems to be the proper thing to wear, so I am asking what is the contemporary dress etiquette for weddings?

Every single time we have a holidaydinner or special meal, my sister in law never responds to phone calls when I ask her what time is best for her and how many people will attend. (She and her husband have three older kids who have girlfriends) Other than them, its only 4 of us. But the difference between having dinner for 4 and dinner for 10-13 is pretty monumental. I love having these meals, love to cook, spoil everyone, and spend time together. But this really stresses me out. I welcome everyone, but don't want to be wasteful by making huge meal and only having four people, or even worse, not having enough food or seats for everyone.
Any ideas?

My roommate gets all the bills for the apartment sent to her and she usually divides them up and gives us our portion. However, I just asked to see the bills because I wanted to see them and she had thrown them away. Do you think something might be up? This month I wanted to see them because at first she told me one amount, and then she told me one that was different.

I don't think it is, but it dawned on me recently that African Americans might take offense at that. I am particularly interested in your feelings if you happen to be African American. Thanks.

1)You're eating a tomato and a piece of the skin sticks to the roof of your mouth, you try to scrape it off with your nail.
2) You're eating an apple and a piece of the skin gets stuck between a gap in your teeth.
3) You're eating a steak and it's so chewy your jaw get's tired.
4) You're eating a custard slice, you bite one end and the custard squeezes out of the other end.
5) You take a sip of your drink and you suddenly get the urge to laugh, you are afraid of swallowing incase you choke, but you are in a situation where spitting it out is not an option.

My husband and I frequently host holidays and other family get togethers at our home. My sister in law and her family are always late (sometimes over an hour) for these get togethers and, believe it or not, they never even call ahead or even offer and apology. Often their lateness ruins our meal as it is cold or overcooked. What should we do?

I am a very absent minded person and constantly misplace things. Right now I'm without my wallet because its been misplace and I was wonderin if there was something I could buy to attach to my key items like my wallet, and keys to help find them quicker. Something similar to the paging system on cordless phones.

2 nights ago at work, we were unloading truck. there were a bunch of new people, me and this outher guy who has been there for awhile. well the guy that has been there for awhile was getting frusterated because the new people diddnt know where to put things. I inquired a question to him. (not mean)
I turned around, and the next thing I knew I felt a sharp jab in my back where he has sholved a pile of boxes into me. I told the guy off and said it was very unexceptable. last night at work I really diddnt talk to him unless I had to. every time I glanced over, he was looking at me. was I wrong to yell at him? do you think ill get an appology??? we used to get along pretty good!!!

So I'm sure I'm gonna get lots of answers one way or another, but my question is how much to tip the delivery guy. I order pizza or chinese cause its a chill night, or I order it cause its a cheap night and don't feel like going out. I know all the arguments with- they don't get paid much, I can afford it. How has it that tipping the guy that delivers my food to my door deserves as much of a percentage as the guy who constantly caters to my every wish at a restaurant?
I know there are going to be answers like I make more than them (which by the way, is not my fault), or that this is their job. I'm just wondering how free delivery in this day and age has not really become free. Isn't a tip for an appreciation of a job well done? How has it become a job done mediocre? I guess I could then take this on to tipping at restaurants for horrid service, but that's for another day.

Just someone please give me a good rationale for why the pizza guy, should get 20% of what I ordered

I don't consider myself an ungenerous person, but I cannot understand why I am expected to tip for certain services (waiters, hairdressers, taxi drivers, etc.). If someone has performed an extra kindness ABOVE AND BEYOND the remit of his/her job, then I am prepared to show my appreciation. However, for an often bog-standard service for which I have already paid and have had NO CHOICE but to use, should I have to pay what is, in effect, a surcharge? Is it really MY responsibility to subsidise the low wages paid within certain professions (an excuse often proffered)? Am I being unreasonable?
