I'm a senior in high school and our prom is coming up in about a month. I plan on asking this one girl whom I see everyday when I get to school and leave. She gets dropped off by her mom/dad and I drive. She's really quiet and shy and doesn't talk to many people. Only about 2-3 people who are her friends. We don't know each other so I want to make a good first impression but enough to show her I want to really get to know her and understand who she is. So girls/women, is there any inparticular way you would have liked to have been asked out for prom? ANY tips at all will be greatly appreciated. This only comes around once in your senior year so I want to make it nice. Any tips on unique, sweet, etc. ways of asking someone out for prom and any ideas where to take afterwards? (no hotel ideas for a night of "fun" she's not a sl*t so that's not gonna happen) Any help would be great =)

(p.s. I'm gonna be asking over and over to get a diff variety of answers =)

Theres this guy that comes into the store where I work and makes stupid comments and lame unfunny jokes expecting me to laugh. He gets all upset if I dont carry on a conversation with him. I have lots of customers I have to help and I cant let someone like this person monopolize my time because it would slow down my progress and draw my help away from people who really need itIs there a polite way to get this person to leave me alone.

My female friend is Chinese, English and Greek. Her old male supervisor doesn't like her because she is Chinese.
My friend is very smart, professional and helpful to everyone in the office. The office improved because of her.
She was born and raised in America and does not speak with an accent. There is nothing wrong with her English.

What I don't understand is this: He tries to pick on her English.
Thinks or tries to treat of her as being stupid. Doesn't like her for being strong in appearance. She is not thin and weak looking.

She has already filed a work place compliant.

Why does her being Chinese bothers him? Even though, she is of 3 races, in his mind, she is only Chinese.

My husbands family really annoy me with some of their behaviour, particularly at the dinner table. I don't think I expect too much but it really upsets me when they:
1. Do not wash their hands before preparing food.
2. Use their hands instead of the utensils when taking food from the centre of the table.
3. Cut open bread rolls straight on the table (scratching it), instead of on their plate.
4. Spill food and drinks every single time.
5. Chip crystal glasses by clinking them together too hard.
6. Allow their children to sit on their feet at the table, hence scratching our leather chairs with their shoes.
My husband and I have discussed it and he agrees for the most part that this behaviour is not ok. But, he is hesitant to bring it up, for fear of making them feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. I told him that he should be the one to say something as it is his family, and I offered to address any issues he has with my family.
Can anyone offer any good advice please?

I don't just fart in front of her, I fart on her. Sometimes if she's sitting in a chair Ill walk by, grab her head, shove it into my *** and rip a huge one. If its loud and juicy she'll laugh too, but mostly she's pissed. but she's only mad for a second. is this normal?

I have a neighbor across the street that I cannot stand. She is clueless and has no social skills at all. She's actually disliked throughout the neighborhood -- it's not just me. The only reason I speak to her at all is because our kids sometimes play together and she's at the school bus stop with her kids too. She has been asking me to lunch since October and I've been OK at avoiding it so far. She even dropped it for a while and I thought it matter was dropped. Now she's asking again and I'm at my wits end.

What can I do to get the message to a clueless person?

I need to somehow keep the peace and get her to leave me alone.

She was 62, married her husband young, had one son, left work at 45-ish. Then ended up in a home 15 years later with alzheimers. What on earth do we say about her apart from the obvious about being a devoted mother and wife????? Help, we're stuck.

How many people are like this? No matter what the minority male or female does for people and in life, he or she is still not liked because of their ethnicity.

I am experiencing this at work. How many people out of 100 are like this?

I mean, they aren't being patronizing, they are just trying to be nice and proper, it isn't that men don't think that we can do it its that they don't want us to have to. Its out of respect, they aren't trying to demean women... everyone knows we can open our own doors.

I'm not being accusatory, it just doesn't make sense to me, so why doesn't some one enlighten me, because I think that those kind of gentlemanly things are cute and sweet, not degrading.

Our office has a stinker in it. She frequently goes into the bathroom for a #2 and neglects to spray, so the next visitor is welcomed with an awful aroma! She also neglects to wash her hands after restroom use. What can I do to let her know that this is not acceptable behavior??

i was getting out of the shower, the back door rang. we live on a corner w/ no fence. anyway i was going to ignore it but he starts knocking on the dining window like he's a good friend or relative. i look thru the bedroom window, don't know the car so i ignore it. 2 mins later, still, knocking and tapping. i finally go to the door, he asks if there is a car for sale here b/c he's been looking for a corner brown house w/ a lumina for sale. so my ? is, he didn't seem creepy but why would he knock for that long, including window tapping especially since there were no cars outside our house that he would think are for sale? also why wouldn't he just call the people to find the right house? i'm scared, like maybe he was casing our house. or does weird stuff like that happen to everyone? he didn't try to come in or use the phone, said sorry and left but still ... what do u guys think? i tried looking in our newspaper for a lumina to see if it's our neighborhood but no luck.

There is a lady in my office with an unbelievably awful laugh. She's the office assistant of one of the guys who rents two rooms in our office.
Anyway, her laugh is like a combination of a hyena and a dog's squeaky toy. She has become quite annoying and laughs alot during the day. She walks around bare foot sometimes and I've even seen her with her feet up on a desk reading a book.
Recently she put one of those plastic-coated paper plates in the convection oven in the office kitchen and then turned the heat up to 300 degrees and left the room. We had to suffer throught the smell of melted plastic all day.
We can hear her cackle all day long.
Is there anything I could do or say? Anything I should suggest to my boss (who owns the office), for him to say to her supervisor.
I want to be polite because she is older than me, but she is wearing on my and my coworkers nerves.
Suggestions.
