I'm glad because My Mom said that the black kids had to eat on the sidewalk outside the soda shop but they paid the same amount as the white kids who got to sit inside. This was in the 50's & 60's The good thing is a lot of the white kids would come out and sit on the side walk with the black kids. It's really good to know your history especially in the US between whites and blacks. Some of the people that did that shady stuff taught their kids to be that way.

It's great that everyone regardless of race/gender/ethnicity are treated as equals. The unfortunate thing is we still have some bigots who still maintain their slanted beliefs. Today on Yahoo Answers there was a guy saying that the United States needs to kick all non white people out of the United Stated, in response to the Virgina Tech Shooting. The moron seemed to forget that the uni-bomber, columbine shooters, manson, etc were all white, murderers, and crazy.

Yes it is. I've traveled all over the united states and to think some people think there is no problems like this in certian areas, they need to get out and go to some of these backward places. I was actually at one place where the owner of the gas station told the black man to go check the ladies oil, boy. And that was just a few years ago. Its gotten better but it still has a long way to go. Thats one thing I like about small children. they see no color just someone to play with. If only we could keep that part in everyone. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

I have always seen black and white people sitting next to each other in restaurants and I am not very young. I think you are thinking back to the 60s, in the south.

BTW, it is nothing. We are all equal.

Suppose you wanted to sit in an all-black area? Or suppose i wanted to sit in an all-white area? People shopuld have the freedom to choose...choices are what freedom is all about. I once knew of a black business that hired only blacks...I have no problem with it...neither should anyone have a preoblem if whites only wanted to hire whites...or Jews hire Jews. The freedom to do what you want with your own property (including a business) is what freedom is all about. The only time one should be required to be "color blind" is when it comes to government- in whose eyes all citizens should be equal, beause they tax all the same.

Yes, great. African Americans have come a long way since Kunta Kinte. It's a great price to pay for being enslaved and transported to a foreign land, but hey, see where it got their descendents. Finally, the silver lining!

y not,basically all are human being,we all hav same things,ter is nothing in body colour,people are decided by thier heart nt cox of thier body colour,neither is balck or white it is jus skin colour,bt if the heart is white den is best person everybody will agree 2 him,if balck den nothing 2 say much go 2 hell onli

I live in the North and it has been that way for a very long time and nothing unusual. I am glad things are turning around.
