No! If I did half of the crap that kids do today I would still be feeling the pain(I'm 28). Parents let kids run the house, back talk, have timper tantrums, kids hit there parents, cuss them. There is no sense in all of that. Parents need to stand up and show the kids who is the parent. What ever happened to getting your *** beat(not abuse)in the grocery store when you acted up?!

I can't answer this question exactly because it would be an overgeneralization. Sometimes the bad apples spoil it for the rest of the barrel.

I will say that society's rules aren't as strict today as they were 50 years ago.

Put the blame on a child's level of discipline on the parent.

I guess I'm still young (18 years old), and I believe that I'm pretty hard-working. I'm disciplined if I care about a cause or activity. I mean I care about my job and schoolwork, so I'm disciplined when it comes to that.

that is a hard question. cuz for some kids discipline doesnt work, and for other kids, they are scared to death of doing wrong. and you have a whole lot of kids in the middle of course. kids today are subject to their environment. and the environment that surrounds them have a lot to do with the use of discipline. some kids just cant be disciplined, and some kids can, and sometimes the parents fail miserably bcuz they just dont know how to discipline their kids. i have seen kids change when removed from one environment and put in another. sometimes this works and other times, it doesnt matter. individuality plays a big part in who a person is when growing up

From what I have seen, for the most part, they are not only NOT disciplined, they are self centered brats whose only thought is the next date they can snag...but so much for the girls. ... let's talk about the boys, who are taught that girls are to be treated as slots (and that comes from what the girls expect), whose greatest form of entertainment is making home videos of them having sex with everyone they can, then putting it on U Tube...As far as parents are concerned, the only time they become involved with their children is to save their butts when they get in trouble...when they should hold the kid accountable, they teach the kid that anything they do can be gotten away with...some lesson in life, I must say.

Huh?? Do children have discipline as a manner of how they behave politely or do you mean they are beaten?? This could be taken badly....

I think many children today have good manners and good discipline of thier behavior, they can and do control and keep thier cool about all kinds of situtations. As to how they acheive this I beleive it should be through modeling the behavior around them and then they learn to behave with good grace. Children who are "disciplined" tend to have ....more to deal with emotionally and tend to act out thier agression more.
