Yep. My father farted recently, and my mom commented about it. I'm sure he did too, I guess older guys don't care as much. I think the whole family comments because when he does everyone knows it, if you know what I mean.

As far as in public though, with anyone besides family members, haven't heard anyone actually comment or make it known as its quite an embarrassing thing for most people to bring up even in normal discussion.

Yessssssssssss, I think the male gender thinks of it as a personal fulfillment. I try to raise my children with good manners and try to tell him to take it elsewhere. Not the dining room table!!!

Yep... and sometimes, when I hear my son (he's 8) do it, I say: POOP! In a high tone. He hates that, but it's just a joke and then I usually get tickled as payment.

every times my little sis does it...i comment aloud. i get my **s kicked for that as a reward.

If I comment about it, my cooking usually gets blamed.
