Does she have any hobbies or interests? If so, I suggest gift cards to the stores that "support" these interests. For example, if she likes to read, a gift card to Borders or Barnes and Noble.

If she likes knitting, a gift card to JoAnn's or another craft store that sells yarn.

If she likes watching movies: movie money from a local theatre or a gift card to Blockbuster or someplace like that.

A gift card/certificate to a spa would be nice. Getting a massage, a facial pedicure maybe just the thing!

All of these things are just fine for your boyfriend's mom.

Gift-card to her favorite restaurant. Flowers.

How long have you been with your boyfriend? Maybe he could give you some perspective to her interests or hobbies. A mature woman pretty much has everything she needs, and wants. If you have been only dating him a short time and you barely know her, I would suggest flowers. If you know her pretty well, I would use that to get her a gift card to her favorite restaurant, coffeehouse, bookstore or video store. You could possibly make her a small themed gift basket of tea and tea cups or bath products. Good luck!

Does she like to read? Get a book with her favorite subject.

What kinds of things does she like? Maybe a nice mug (why do you think my nickname is wyoMUGS?) can be nice.

You don't give any sort of price range... but then most gifts can cover any price range! The best thing is to find out what her likes and interests are, and gear your gift giving towards that. I had a boss who loved pistachios, and I gave him a beautiful, tall glass jar (not an el-cheapo one at that!) filled it with 3-1/2 lbs of red pistachios... he was THRILLED! He also raised and raced racing pigeons. So I went to the local "awards" shop and ordered a beautiful "awards" mug with the pigeon "plate" on it, and an engraving plate with his name engraved on it. He was truly touched by that one, and his WIFE even asked me, "HOW to you THINK of such nice gifts?"

Again... think of the things she likes and what her interests are. I'm sure it will inspire you to find something JUST right for her (which of course will please your boyfriend, too!). Regardless of the price range, it truly is the THOUGHT (and the thought you put into it) that counts!

Well, my mom is in her early fifties. She loves Victoria's Secret body spray gift sets. You get 3 for about $25 bucks, to choose between lotion, bubble bath, soap, body misy and perfume in TONS of scents from flowery, to sweet to spicy. If she is not a "girly" woman, or very feminine, maybe........ummmm........does she collect anything that you can go off of? Is she a sports fan???

Well it depends on how long you've known her. Candles are always great gifts if you don't know her well. Stay away from perfumes or anything smelly. Just think of how much fun it would be to give her some lavander perfume and discover that Lavander makes her sick to her stomach. Stay impersonal if possible until you get to know her better.

Ask your boyfriend what she into - if she likes to garden, perhaps a rose bush, or something that might have meaning. Also, if you have a great picture of your bf, maybe frame it for her.

What are her likes and dislikes. I would want something that reminded me of you when I looked at it. How about some pictures of you and your boyfriend in a multi-picture frame, or a picture album.

How about a younger man for a few hours.

Or maybe a spa treatment. I did that for my mom in law.
The spa thing, not the escort.

I am 53. I have sooooo much stuff now. I like to get body lotions, etc., or foodstuff or I like to get taken out to dinner. Most of my friends are also tired of stuff that we have to dust.

I hope this helps.
