no, you need a soothing touch... if your mother is around nothing better just cling to her... sprinkle fresh water on your face and let the water drip do not wipe...

OK, Catty, get out of that mood NOW. You don't have any right to go around acting that way. Just get over it and start over so you can have a good day. Do you understand me? Other people have things going wrong in their lives too. Just straighten up and fly right (the last sentence was a quote from my late mother).

No! A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. Proverbs 18:20

I hope it gets better for you. God bless****

If what you are asking is, is it better to have someone who is trying to diffuse the situation match your anxiety level, or if it is better for that person to try to calm you down by telling you to "calm down" or "relax" ? It is fairly common knowledge that one of the worst things to tell an anxious person is to "relax". Their anxiety levels almost always increase, often with explosive results. Probably the best thing someone could do to diffuse the anxious person is to remove themselves from the situation and let the anxious person calm down alone.

Find ways to calm down before you say what you think, once it is out you can't take it back just remember that.
