You don't HAVE to, but they're usually really enjoyable and you are exposed to things you may not be exposed to anywhere else. They can broaden your interests, your mind and your intellect.

I am from the land of history.
You don't have to keep visiting museums all the time, but just select to visit what you really think it's important. It's important in history to understand how people developed through the history. It helps you to develop also in your life. The concept of trying to make a better life for humanity and even for self is the same since Adam and Eve. One way or another it's one way of learning.
Good luck with the next museum and have some relaxation on a sunny beach also.

You don't HAVE to, but to be a well rounded person who knows about something outside of their own small world, you SHOULD.
There are museums out there for every possible interest.

To broaden your world view a bit? To get you off the computer and out in the sun?
I'll never forget the day I saw one of Van Gogh's paintings up close. Wow! Books and computer screens can only take you so far.
Try it!

I never had to. But I wanted to. I went to Paris and saw the Louvre. It was amazing. I even got to see the crown jewels there.
