I sometimes see people doing this when I am out in public. Actually, when I see it happening, it's usually at Wal-Mart. There must be something in the air at Wal-Mart that makes people want to fight, because I also tend to see a lot of parents and kids going at it in there, too.

It is absolutely inappropriate. My boyfriend and I have a rule against it. If we are so upset with each other that we cannot be civil to each other in public, we politely excuse ourselves to argue in private. And if we fight before going out, we either resolve it then and there, agree to postpone our bickering, or don't go. It makes everyone uncomfortable when you fight in public, and neither person comes off looking good in such a squabble.
As far as Wal-Mart goes, that may be due to the clientele. Not that I am being a snob, I certainly spend my fair share of time there too, but there are a number of people there who probably were not raised with the same awareness of what is and is Not appropriate.

I do think that's it's inappropriate to do this, but I am guilty of this. I haven't yelled or screamed, but I have become very frustrated. I end up acting like a fool. You are right though, there IS something in the air at Wal-mart. I think that some people may want attention in a wierd subconscience way.

I think it is inappropriate. There is no reason for a public scene. It can wait 'til you get home. I think people who argue in public are doing it for the benefit/reaction of others. Same as people and PDA(public displays of affection). They have to assure everyone how much they are in love, thereby assuring their egos and/or diminishing their doubts.

You gotta do what you gotta do, it make people uncomfortable to have to see that. They're probably in a bad mood before they get to Wal-Mart.

Your picture is cute, you could never get into a fight with anyone.

It's inappropriate. It's ugly and it makes other people feel uncomfortable. It degrades them.
