Does anyone else out their have a boyfriend who is unusualy close with his mom? Help?!?

I have read that how boys treat their Mom's is how well they will treat their Wife one day. We all want a boy that respects women. Although sometimes it makes it very hard when a boy is close with his Mom. This would be your Mother-in-law we are talking about. Some boys that are close to their Moms will always want the Mom to make decisions for them. A boys wife should always be first in their life not the Mother-in-law. It could go either way. You will need to watch this boy closely and see if he is able to make decisions with you instead of always confiding in his Mother then doing what she says. Disregarding everything you talked about and what you decided.

I think I know what you are saying, my husband is unusualy close to his mom and I get very upset sometimes. I cant cook as well as her, he even spends more time with her than me, his wife. I dont ***** that would only push him more in her arms, but my husband is a titty baby and if that is your boyfriend, it will cause problems down the road, at least it did for me. Why is this a bad thing? I think guys who are close to their moms make the best partners. It means they have a certain sensitivity toward women, which I can only see as a good thing.

Or is the problem that she doesn't like you? If that's the case, go out of your way to be nice to her. Take it from me...my brother was with a girl for years who didn't seem to give a crap about my mom and it really hurt my mom's feelings. If you can get in good with the mom, you're golden!

my fiance's mom had 5 boys and they are all mama's boys. my fiance calls her at the very least 3 times a week.(she lives alone and in another province, all the boys live far away too) the cons is she knows about what goes on in my house(not about our personal fights) all the time, the pro she comes to my defense when her son is out of line. mama's boys treat you with respect and admiration and have a better sense of feelings than other guys. and since they are so close it is nice to be friends with the mother in law rather than enemies. however if your man doesnt make a move without mom's ok or starts taking your personal problems to her then i would stress but if he is just checking in with her and keeping her aprised then its no big deal.

does he have older sisters? He is the only child? Is his dad around? Is he the youngest? His relationship with his mom also depends on his relationship with his parents and siblings. I am pregnant now with my 1st and only son, I intend to keep him pretty close for a long time. If he can't have a good relationship with me or his sisters, he won't have a good relationship with his girlfriends or wive.

I'm close with my mom out of love and respect. Though I'm closer with my older sister. I think its great to be close with one's female family members. It shows a certain sensitivity towards women.

I married one of those mama's boys once. If people say that made him treat women better...not in my case! I got a divorce because his mother was more important to him than I was and totally ruled his life, even as as an adult. I'd be very careful dating a mama's boy.

I guess it depends on what you catagorize as "unusual". He's not still breast feeding is he that whould be unusual. But my hubby is a momma's boy and she is protective of him and we have had our differences (his mom and me). But in the long run guys tend to favor their mothers and girls tend to favor their dads. Talk to him about it.
