Set your alarm on your cell phone and stick it underneath your pillow. The pillow will muffle the noice but it will be loud enough for you to hear because your head will be right above it. This is what I do.

Evidently u need to work so he can't whine too much but, 1 thing you can do is actually get up the first time the alarm goes off. When my wife and I split up after 12 years and I got my own flat, I didn't miss being with her that much and it was mainly because she had to be up by 6, but she hit snooze from 4:30 A.M. 'til 6:15 every f___ing day and drove me crazy! I didn't have to be up until 7:30! She was very indifferent and rude about it too. Considering I was working 2 to 3 jobs a day @ any given time and I was the only one paying the bills, I thought it was pretty inconsiderate of her. That you even care is a blessing in itself. Consider getting a watch with an alarm on it, that would make your wake-up alarm much more personal and I'm sure your b/f will love and appreceiate u for it. Hell, he'll probably even buy it for you if u let him know it's an option. I used mine all the way thru boot camp and advanced training. Good luck,

I'm a really light sleeper too and if my boyfriend is staying overnight and has to get up to go to work before me, we have the same problem. I just wake up when his alarm goes off, kick him out of bed and go back to sleep when he leaves.
The only time it irritates me is when he doesn't get up right away to turn off the alarm or when he repeatedly hits snooze.
If he stills complains when you turn the alarm off and get out of bed right away, my only suggestion is to sleep in separate rooms and sleep together on nights where you don't have to get up before him in the morning.

Is it possible to get an alarm with an earphone or a headset that will wake only you up?
I still think he will be woken up by the movement, but at least you could try this.

If he is a light sleeper I don't think there is really much you can do about it unless you decide to sleep in seperate rooms. Maybe he could try a pair of earplugs to see if that would help. Other than that I don't really know what else he can do.

Set your alarm clock five minutes earlier than you need to get up. Then when your alarm goes off, that is the signal for you to give him something that he won't mind being woken up for, and will also help him go back to sleep, then after that, you get up and go to work.

About the only thing that I can think to do is hire someone to come in and wake you up every morning. Mind you, that's a bit creepy...

Thats a tough one...I would suggest sleeping in seperate rooms and on your weekends sleep together. absecnse does make the heart grow fonder and you might have some good love making because of it.

The only thing that would most likely work is if you sleep in a separate room.
