I have a few friends that I've known in real life, that have moved away or had life changes like marriage or career changes and things of this nature that make it so that I no longer have contact with them on a regular basis other than a few messages her and there on Myspace or Facebook or maybe even a text message every once in a while. I don't really fell like any of them are my true friends but I still know them...just from our life paths crossing. How do I get rid of them without hurting their feelings or feeling like I'm being rude? Should I meesage them letting them know I no longer want to be friends or what? Any suggestions?

do you think that our fixtures and toys walk around and talk to eachother at night, and take a break from standing all day and night.

In your opinion give me why you think most people care so much about others peoples lives more than theirs or of their family??? Why do people prejudge, discriminate and care so much about differences and what is your point of view on this problem. I'm looking for serious opinions. Type all you want. I'm writing a paper and would really appreciate your opinions. I won't cheat by using your opinions I just really want to prove a point!

I would like to send the nurses and doctor who treated my mother for cancer a thank you card for saving her life. Would that be inappropriate or not proper etiquette?

okay, we've all experienced lousy customer service. it could be the lazy, nose-picking waitress, the gerby nerd help desk guy with small-man complex, talking to india and getting lost in translation, whoever-whatever! but when you have to deal with the ones who give you DUMB answers and you KNOW they don't have a clue, or you know they are just being spiteful because they are minimum wage slaves, or they just had a bad day and want desperately for you to share in the experience...yikes, i feel like i need to take a valium sometimes after talking to these people! help me get my mantra...

On practically every question or answer, I am able to find at least one grammar or spelling error. I even often see mistakes in Best Answers that are part of the Best of Answers category. Do you at least make an attempt to use correct English on Yahoo! Answers? Why or why not? I would also like to know any other thoughts you might have on this subject.

So I met this lady that spoke Japonese at a school's international fair, and her children go to the same school that my brother does. So, I wanted to contact her by e-mail. I looked her name up on the school phone book ( but I am not quite sure if it is actually her because her name is japonese and it was hard for me to remember)

Any ways I want to send an e-mail to the person that I am pretty sure is her. What should I say on the e-mail, that way it won't freak out any one if I have the wrong person?

... really have to have no manners?
Ok.. Is not really an intelligent question... but here is the fact. I have an office job... a cubic station, behind me there is a lady... overweight...no ofense... but what it gets me is the fact that she eats non stop.I really don't care what she wants to do with her body, but she is LOUD doing that...crunching,,,,belching,,, all those disgusting sounds. Is it just me that I can not hear those ?... do you feel the same way? Its driving me crazy!
I spoke with my boss, we received also an email saying that there is no eating at the desk... but looks like she is ignoring this.

to wear panty-hose, or does it not matter? If you want to be taken seriously = panty-hose? I have this career fair to go to and I would like to just not wear panty-hose but I don't want that to reflect negatively upon me (as if I don't know the correct attire, which, is obvious since I'm asking, heh.) And so, should I? Does age matter at all in the choice...? I really don't know, please help. Thanks.

I have this best friend. She is thirty three years old and does not work or attend college or anything. However, she shares a condo with her sister. She is fully capable of working part time.
Or, going to school for that matter. My problem is I'm a bit angry at her because I phoned her a couple of days ago. And, she was mad at me because I was not helping her out with gas money or tip money. She says I should give her three to five dollars for gas or tip money whenever we go out. She says it bothers her. We usually go out on the weekends once a week. She drives and picks me up at my house.I told my other friend about this and she said it was rude of her to ask me for gas money. I'm kind of angry at my friend. Does my best friend have a lot of nerve to ask me for this?

My friend is moving across the country and I thought it would be a nice idea for everyone to have a chance to say goodbye to her over dinner. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to pay for everyone's meal, however, I do plan on bringing a cake. Is it tacky for me to send out an evite invitation telling everyone they are invited to join us all for dinner? How do I imply or state that it is dutch? Should I address gifts on the evite?
