You get:
-2 points for answering
-10 points for best answer
-to raise up your level (possibly, over time)
-to help someone (awwww, the best reward of all ;) )
-good karma (if you believe in that, and if your answer isn't mean or rude)
-a chance to have some fun (maybe, maybe not)
-to make someone's day (again: maybe, maybe not)
-to feel good for helping someone
-a chance to possibly make someone smile/happier

And those are only a few of the reasons!

Free beer? How many points do you have to have to get that? LOL.
You get two points for answering. You get the satisfaction of knowing you might have helped someone, or made them laugh. Or made some one else laugh, or made somebody think. Or by saying what you think.
You just said what you think. Do you fell better?
I feel better, I told a joke. The lilgonzo feels better, he thinks he is getting free beer, and told everyone to expect it. He told a joke. LOL.
You get out of answers what you want, you get back what you put in. If you are negative, expect negative, or a joke, back.

Well ... if you have the best answer 10 points. If you answer at all, 2 points. Which allows you to waste more points with questions like this one. : )

Not much, probably just the knowledge that you give people a laugh with your poor punctuation.

you answer questions to help people, and you get satisfaction that your really helping someone with thier problems or questions and you get points, which actually mean nothing
