I am 100% against animal testing and cruelty but I eat meat. Sometimes people make me feel bad that I eat meat, and make me feel like I'm a hypocrite. Sacrificing animals is a large part of my religion, so to be a vegetarian because it hurts animals would go against my religious beliefs. I know that the technique our religion has taught us to sacrifice an animal is the least painful to it.

How do I make people realize that I am not a hypocrite, but am strong in both my religious and moral beliefs?

I have just recently made the decision, to become a vegetarian, and so far so good. However I have gotten a lot of negative opinions from my friends and family that do eat meat. I have done research to support my decision. I am Jewish and I did some research on my religion and vegetarianism. My religion states that we are not to harm animals in any way. I still have more research to do, but I feel good about my decision.

The same thing goes for you I think, if you feel good with your choice, and if you believe in it, no one can tell you what to eat and what not to eat. You have that control, and as long as you understand the outcome of your choices, then you are on the right track. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for your choices.

Sorry but I agree! I am 100% for animal rights and no testing & I'm a vegetarian.

If you still eat meat and say that then you are a hypocrite.

If we didn't eat meat then we would have over population of animals and diseases that are uncontrolable. So you are helping the environment think of that as a good thing. I thought hunting was horrible and still some situations are uncalled for but people hunt turkeys for thanksgiving and shoot deer because they have babies galore. I see atleast 10 deer a day in the morning, we live in the country and they eat all my trees.grrrr but its fun to watch them play anyways
just tell them there is a differance between eating an animal and have some company testing on them and see if they die or not.

OK I feel exactly the same as you do.
I think using animals such as cows, chikens and pigs for strictly feeding purpouses is ok.

What I am against of is killing beatiful animals for stupid reasons such as: to make handbags, coats, carpets, or whatever other useless things, (b i t c h e s like JLo use), I mean a carpet is not worth the life of a white tiger.

Well it is common sense to that one who poses those questions. You answer it like this. If the animal is hurting then it is animal cruelty. If it is done in a humane way, such as food, it is OK. No living thing should suffer. If they further the discussion at that point towards your views then they are not going to change their minds and are closed to any new ideas. **** them.

Explaint to them your reasons why you are against animal testing, hunting, wearing, etc... how it is cruel and the these poor innocent animals suffer for our own plessure.
There is a difference between eating to survive and killing as a sport.

You ignore the fact that animal testing is required for us to have an idea as to whether our medicines will kill people when we give them to them.
