My city does not have a law that makes you shovel your side walk and i don't. It is hard enough to get out my drive way in the morning and when i get home its dark. I can't afford a snowblower and i refuse to pay someone to do it. Also if you shovel and someone slips you can be held liable because you did not do it properly. if you don't shovel it is an act of GOD and you are not responsible. Just wondering what other people do

I find it really odd - couldn't they go before they left home, or wait until they get back? The toilets always stink.

I feel frustrated when one of my in-laws stares when we're having a conversation. I mean , he listen with no expression on his face when i talk. I feel it's rude and impolite. It hurts me too, boz i feel like he doesn't buy into what I'm saying.
Anyone been there? Advice please..

When I was a teenager my boy friend got me into driving around during snow storms finding places like parking lots to spin out. I'm now a 37 year old mother of two, and even though I am only an ocassional smoker, on a snowy night, I get a pack, put on my boots, and head out with my mustang looking for a place to have a little fun like I did when I was 17. Well last week I got stuck pretty good and ruined one of my tires. This caused my husband to tell me that this wasn't normal behavior and that I should grow up. I find this as a sort of release that I enjoy. Should I listen to him or should I grow up. I might not like some of the answers but I am intersted in some opions.

Oh my god I'm so paranoid someone might have taken this the wrong way! I sent a thank you message to someone and the whole thing i wrote was really nice and at one point in the letter I quoted a friend who had said something funny and said "i SECOND what she said" I know a lot of people dont say that much and I worry she didnt know what i meant and took it the wrong way. it was just a joke but i am PARANOID that she could have not understood what i meant. because i ijust sent a message to her just to talk and she signed off a minute later. i mean its not neccessarily me but i am soo paranoid riight now

It was not a personal training session, just 15 minutes of his time when it was not busy.

This person I know will always show up with two extra buddies when I offer to treat him for dinner and make me pay the tab. Should I stop asking him out. When the bill comes he will either go to the restroom or go out to smoke. Other times he will enter the restaurant and say "Gosh! I forgot my Wallet." Any solutions for the three excuses and the extra guests or should I dump him?

What's the proper thing to do if you came first, had your signal on and as soon as the space becomes vacant, another driver cuts you off and parks in the spot. Do you just ignore him/her and look for another spot or do you confront him/her? What's the proper thing to do? What's the moral thing to do? What's the legal thing to do?

I am going to a Sweet 16 tonight. The girl's parents rented out a club for about 100 of us. The party starts at 7. She is Spanish, and about 15 people are going to be doing a traditional dance at 8. So I don't really expect much to be going on until 8. Me and my friend want to get there around 8, because that's probably when most people will show up, but my dad says that that would be rude and he is making me go there no later than 7:30. Am I right or is my dad right?

Are we as a society more focused on being PC than polite? Are we more focused on not upsetting others than we are on helping others? Used to you held you tongue because it was polite, not you hold your tongue forfear of a law suit....is this the start of a slippery slope for America? Who's to blame?

My wife and I have another couple visiting us at the moment. They are not bad people at all. However, they are really annoying. They do nothing but talk about themselves, and seem to talk to each other more than to us. They complain non-stop about their lives, and they are really self centered. My wife and this woman are old friends But they have got really annoying lately. Frankly, I find a lot of their behavours to be downright rude. They are not rude in anyway that is overt. A casual observer might not notice what I am talking about. But they are realy terrible house guests. They do not offer to help with anything such as cleaning dishes or stuff like that.

Anyway, they were going to depart on today, but then they ndicated that they want to stay another night.

Is there a white lie we can tell them to get them to leave? Or is there something else we could do?

I don't want to be impolite to them, but there presence is getting so annoying!

Any ideas?

I work in a bar, i give, from what my managers and customers have told me very good service. I smile at every single customer i serve. I may not be the best looking bar man in the world, but why is it that only 1 in 10 people smile back at me? Is it not just a matter of common courtesy to smile back at someone who smiles at you?

...and now they put the picture on my office door.

The trouble is, it's the only photo of me with decent hair and a smile that doesn't look faked.

Should I just keep the picture on my office door?
