they are offencive to many....and they are just not nice.....its all about etiquette, manners and respect

ITS strange you say that.WE choose the words to be good or bad.Example puddy cat is a name 4 a kitten or cat.BUT some people change the D's to S's and it becomes a nasty word.ITS no longer a cat but a female body part.AND blood is not a bad word. IN the USA it means blood in the human body. IN England BLOODY HELL becomes a terrible word.WORSE then the F word in the USA. GO figure

In the Middle Ages, words that serfs (or peasants) used were considered below that of royalty. These words, and the idea behind them, continue to this day. So really, there's nothing really "bad" about the words...they just have a "bad" history.

Because back when people actually had manners it was considered "slang", which was highly inappropriate. It just progressed to it's current status. Shoot back in the day you couldn't say "blast" without taking a whippin'.
