If the boyfriend of a girl you live with (but don't know well enough to really call your roommate), whom you have never been introducted to, whom you have never even seen full on the face, (and who always seems to be standing just outside your locked door right as you're leaving it but doesn't acknowledge you even as he grabs the door from you and enter your apartment) - is using your wash cloth, toothpaste, and possibly toothbrush, and then doesn't put the cap back on your toothpaste (a capital offense), would you be disgusted and if so, to what degree? How would you go about diffusing this situation without causing offense if you have a history of problems with people you live with even though you consider yourself a perfectly considerate and reasonable person? Please don't just assume right off the bat that you would tell this girl - who in fact has her door open and is in full view of what is going on while it's going on. Things are easier said than done.

I mailed a baby gift to a friend who lives in another state just before Christmas, after receiving an announcement of the baby's birth. She & I were close before she moved but since the move we have only corresponded by mail. I don't even know her phone number or if she has an e-maill address, since she moved about a year ago. I am a little hurt that she hasn't responded to thank me for the gift, not that that's the reason I sent it. She is a nice person but I find it upsetting that she would not send me an e-mail or call or something. Should I just forget about it or write to her & ask her if she got the gift. I don't want to embarass her.

I just started my job a few months ago and I don't mix well with the other females in my office. There are 5 women in here and I am not blending at all.
I am kinda tom boy and not into gossip or girlie stuff. So that knocks three of them out of my ring and the other is older and mean and bitter. Sometimes she is ok and other days I think she might hit me in the face.
I try to just do my work and leave but it is hard sometimes. Any tips on how to get along?

I don't care much about the cut as long as it's short and managable, my cousin used to do it but doesn't have time any more. So I go to a SuperCuts, or Fantastic Sams, etc, I have no brand-loyalty, I go wherever is closer, least busy, or running a special, and I usually pay $14-16 once a month. Then I get the reciept and it has the restaurant-style "Tip" line at the bottom, I always get self consious about this. Are these girls living off of tips, or do they even expecting a tip for a 10 minute job? I don't tip the guy changing my oil, mowing my lawn, or fixing my furnace, and these are all more important services to me than a haircut. And I know the answer from you salon owners/employees, trust me, my wife tips more than my haircut costs, but she gets the perm, color, trim, etc. I'm talking about the strip mall, walk-ins welcome, "short on top, #4 on the sides" type of cut.

have this guy..who flirts with me but he never really made an actual move, I know for a fact that he's an insecure guy.. there was one instance where he told me to call him if I ever wanted to hang out or go to a movie.. and there was another time where he asked me WHO I spent my holidays with, and on top of that he's always questioning me about how come I'm always leaving when he comes and talk to me... so I thought well he told me to call him if i ever wanted to hang out..so I made the first move and asked him to hang out.He told me that he would like to but it would have to be in a couple of weeks because he is broke....so I called him yesterday..and told him i was going to starbucks and if he wasn't busy after work, he could join, me he told me that starbucks sounds good, however today wouldn't be too good since he's busy, and that we would have to meet up sometime next week..then I asked him if he wasn't interested would he tell me? He said quote on quote "that we can meet up

You're in the library and someone starts talking on their cell phone really loud (typically female and blond, more often than not). Then you can't concentrate and you can't help but listen to their conversation, but then they leave before finishing it, so you don't know how it ends!
