Both of yours, in fact any tie tied badly, plus:

Rimless glasses
Cartoon ties or cartoon socks (if both ... run!)
Novelty cuff-links

Why are some people taking this so seriously? Readytogo, funnelweb and OldGringo - and several others - clearly have had sense-of-humour bye-passes, and a big implant of pompous.

I never trust men who wears narrow ties, waves guns round or wears a watch at all. Small knots in ties also can indicate a small minded person with a high degree of tightness on the other end.

Let's see. I also don't trust people (male or female) with large knives and other deadly things.

Finally I trust no man who looks at girls with a wolfish glare--especially if related to me, or in public with me! I trust men to glare wolfishly at me even less!!!

I don't want you to miss a really great guy judging by the way he wears his watch! :) In some countries it's customary to wear a watch on the inside of a wrist.

I nearly weep to see a man with frayed shirt sleeves - they look so vulnerable and not looked after.

I just judge by the smell really. Can't stand dirty people who make no effort. Like the woman who don't wear make up and boast about it as if they are Saints. But its us who have to look at their washed out faces. But the things you mention, seem like vulverable to me, not distrustful.

I don't judge. When it comes to trusting people, I go by instinct.

(and hey! *chuckle* My Dad used to wear his watch on the inside of his wrist. He had ecxema and that was the only way his watch wouldn't irritate him.)

I judge people by how they judge. If they judge people by how they wear their watch or knot their tie then I know they could benefit from being a touch more rational.

My father, when he was alive, said he would never trust a man who didn't polish his shoes, or who didn't like football!
Me. I guess I don't trust a man with a weak handshake; or a man who smells of B.O.; the kind that accumulates over days - not the "I'm working hard "kind of sweatiness.

Those people claiming to be more intelligent than us worked out that if you do certain things with your body, they could tell your intentions. They call it body language! However , when people know about body language they gave give false information by conciously stopping themselves from doing these thing, be it a hand gesture, a small knot, or reversed watch....a prime example is your leader, Tony Blair with his opened handed " i'm telling the truth" signals.
I trust NO ONE till I get to know them well, and even then am a lttle suspicious!!!
