Can't we all just get along without reporting?

I have lived with three, different, African (not African-American) roommates. None of them ever met. These were three, different, living situations. Yet, all three of them would slam the door when they entered or exited a room or the apartment...even when they weren't upset about anything. Have any of you ever experienced this or have you been to Africa before? Is it normal behavior there? Even after I told them that it is not acceptable to slam doors in America, they kept doing it. For the record: Besides the door-slamming thing, we always got along so I know they weren't doing it to be mean to me.

My husbands best friend is getting married for the second time (for both he and his wife). They are getting married by a JP and we are standing up for them. Does anyone have any ideas for an appropriate gift. They have everything and don't really need anything. I was going to give them a gift cert for their favourite restaurant but they told us they are taking us there after the ceremony. They are in their 40's and have kids. Any ideas???

This girl I havent ever met came up to my lunch table today at school and asked me for a dollar for food..seeing as how I had money and never lie I I ended up lending it, but anyways she then shook my hand and said "Hi, my names ......." I didnt catch her name, (it was too loud) and then she walked away kind of laughing slightly maybe nervously.

Do I really need to leave a tip at a low rent chain restaurant? I mean I am there with my girlfriend trying to date her as cheap as I can get away with, and eating the b4 evening priced meals to save a couple of quid.I normally aim to get out the door for 20 quid or less.Last time I went I left 97pence on the table for a 19 quid meal.

i heard from someone that it was because when the plague was happening, one of the signs was excessive sneezing so the people thought that whenever someone would sneeze, they were getting the disease so they would say bless you so they wouldn't get sick.
does anyone know if this was true, if not where is it derived from? just wondering, ahah

Men who are old enough to be my dad aproach me all the time wanting to be my "friend". The want to talk to me, take me out, etc.
I am never interested, and I don't have the nerve to just tell them. I ask them for their #s, and say I will call them, and I never do.

If I tell them I'm too busy to go out, have a jealous boyfriend, or another polite excuse, they never get it. They continue to flirt with me.

How do I let a guy know I'm not interested in their "friendship" without sounding harsh? I don't want to resort to, "Look dude, I don't want to talk to you or go anywhere with you. You are soooooo not my type. Get away from me!"

Help.
