I've been called ugly before but it all really depends on who calls me that. My asshole cousin calls me that all the time and it doesn't bother me - for one, I'm use to it, and two, I know he's jealous because he's but ugly.
I don't mean to sound concited but I know I'm pretty so I usually don't offense because I know it isn't true.
Now if someone calls me fat, I get hurt and offensive. I'm like a size 12; society and a lot of ppl say women should be a 2 to 6, so in their eyes, I'm fat.

I'd think that they were rude and I wouldn't want to be around them any more. I'm not 'pretty' but I am the only one who can say I'm 'ugly' and get away with that. And to my husband, I'm always 'beautiful' even if I'm sick and look like garbage.

I'd feel hurt which is natural, but you have to remember that no one else's opinion matters but your own. Everyone has a different perception of beauty- just because you don't fit into theirs doesn't mean you won't fit into someone else's. Find your own and live by it-ignore everyone else-just be yourself. Don't ever try to conform to other people's standards-set your own!
