We Just came back from the movies to her dorm. Argument starts as we are walking inside (I was telling her she acts like the girl in Norbit). I hate arguments, and as I always do when an argument starts, I say Im outta here, walk away and leave. As Im walking to my car she is throwing rocks at my back. I keep my head down, saying nothing, and enter my car. As I pull out to leave she stands in front of my car. So as Im waiting for her to move, she catches me off guard and runs to the drivers side door, fling it open, and socks me in the face close fisted...and as she tries to run I push her with my open hand (other was still on steering wheel while sitting in the car). Then she said shes gonna report me and lays on the floor. I say whatever and drive away. As im leaving I see people come outside to "help her up". Apparently her plan worked cuz 2 days later I find out Im banned and wanted because "I beat her up and left her on the floor and drove away"...

What do I do?

Was I wrong?

i have a coupon for a "free 25 swedish massage" at a local salon and I have an appointment tonight to redeem it. Do I need to give a tip and if so, how much would be appropriate?

It happens on a consistent basis for things that do not require immediate attention, and you ignore their phone calls at work, and they E-MAIL u at work instead, would you find this irritating?

It would be done in such a fashion ... subject line = CALL ME.

You see on your caller ID, that parent has called you numerous times already; you know it is not an emergency since it happens frequently.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most annoyed), how annoyed would you be?

I am 32 YEARS OLD; This has been going on for YEARS! I have made it very clear that I don't take personal calls at work, I talk to my parent enough throughout the week, and this sometimes happens when I'm at home as well.

Why does nobody actually seem to say that they are good with names? There seem to be 3 possible explanations:

1) Everybody in the world actually has a problem with remembering names, and there's nothing we can do about it.

2) There are people who are good with names, but they don't like to boast.

3) There are people who are good with names, but they say they are bad so that if they forget someone else's name, then they have something to fall back on.

Which do you think and why?

Last night my daughter, and I had to call the police on the neighbor across the street. Well, it was her daughter... The parents were gone, and left the 19 year old daughter in the house. Well, about 3:00 in the morning we hear a loud banging on a door. It was so loud that we thought someone was at our door. We get up, and see, and hear, I guess her boyfriend banging on the door, and calling her a whor3. Well, we notice that another guy ran from the side of the house. Well, the boyfried was yelling, saying, "Where is the N word you've been Fing? and on, and on. Well, she, like a dumb, dumb opens the door, and the guy starts pulling her hair, calling her a N word loving whor3. He then goes to the side walk, and starts yelling "***** is a whor3, she's Fing an N word!!!" Now, we live in an upper middle class neighborhood, and our neighbors just tend to ignore, but I couldn't. I called the police, because I was afraid someone would get killed. My husband says I should of stayed out of it.

There is a bit of an age difference between my wife and I, 17 years to be exact. She will be celebrating her 29th birthday tomorrow. She wants to get a tattoo something simple that she drew a cross and a heart. not very big either. However I don't like them her brother was getting this for her as a birthday present. The way that I was raised the only females that got Tattos were barflies and biker girls. She said that if I found them that distateful that she would not get one. I feel that if I don't let her that she will be resentful later. Am I being a jerk by not wanting her to have one. I might also add that she has told me that it is her body and that she should be able to with it what she likes.

I personally think they are extremely in bad taste and find it disgusting. I have real balls myself but wouldn't ever think of pretending that my truck has a set....Of all the things in this world deemed inappropriate and offensive, I CANNOT BELIEVE that legislators haven't enacted a law making these illegal. Not only are they offensive especially to younger kids but they are distracting to motorists as well. If you have never seen them just do a search for FAKE BALLS and you will see what I mean..YUK!

If you are a parent you will most likely agree with me. Just imagine the embarrassment of driving behind a vehicle with a fake set of balls hanging there and as long as you are stuck behind that jerk you have to look at that disgusting car ornament. And then the kids think its funny and all but it draws kids'attention to the male genatelia. I guess next is big fake boobs or a big hairy vagina on girl cars! What say you?

My mother died, my dad is still living, I have 3 sisters, all are married. My sisters and I divided up the cards to send out, alot of them are for distant relatives I don't know, and I'm sure they don't know me (my married name). Since they are family, I'm not sure if signing "the family of Jane Doe" is appropriate either.

I called my dear friend this morning and her husband picked up the phone and he asked if I got disconnected. I was surprised but didn't think of anything so said no, I didn't call. Then, I got a hold of my friend she confessed that her ex called earlier and she told him it was me. Ok, I'm not upset that she's using my name, but I'm going to visit them soon and I feel awkward if the spouse tries to find out information from me. He knows his wife tells me EVERYTHING. Should I just not go?

So in this case when only spoon and fork are provided whats the most decent/correct way to go?

I substituted for a former co-worker at her school on my day off. She said that she believed she still had my address and would send me a check. This was three weeks ago and I have not received a check from her. I want to send her an email but I’m not sure how to politely phrase it. Any suggestions?

My boss sort of hinted of their forthcoming 15th wedding anniversary and I need suggestions on what is a good gift, not too expensive, gitf that won't look like it is "kiss-up" type, but just a friendly and at the same time professional gift for them. They are very close to me on a personal level also, not just work. Thanks.

I have on online friend who has helped me at times with my homework. Some of my assignments require me to have a partner who I either have to interview, or ask them to keep a journal of what they eat during the week and such, and this friend of mine has helped me a few times. I am thinking of giving her a small gift as a token of my appreciation. Since she lives in a different province than me, I can't buy anything big so I am thinking of giving her a Starbucks gift certificate (because she LOVES Starbucks coffee.) Should I?

My husband's great aunt is passing. This is his own Grandmother's twin sister. Is it appropriate to send a sympathy card to my husband's Grandmother, when it's also my husband's own relative that passed? These ladies are in their 90s and this death will just be very hard on his Grandmother, especially when it is not only a sibling, but her twin.
