We Just came back from the movies to her dorm. Argument starts as we are walking inside (I was telling her she acts like the girl in Norbit). I hate arguments, and as I always do when an argument starts, I say Im outta here, walk away and leave. As Im walking to my car she is throwing rocks at my back. I keep my head down, saying nothing, and enter my car. As I pull out to leave she stands in front of my car. So as Im waiting for her to move, she catches me off guard and runs to the drivers side door, fling it open, and socks me in the face close fisted...and as she tries to run I push her with my open hand (other was still on steering wheel while sitting in the car). Then she said shes gonna report me and lays on the floor. I say whatever and drive away. As im leaving I see people come outside to "help her up". Apparently her plan worked cuz 2 days later I find out Im banned and wanted because "I beat her up and left her on the floor and drove away"...
What do I do?
Was I wrong?

LOL...hahahahahahhahah!!!!! That was funny what you said! Obviously she didn't share in the humor though : (
Wow that's really rough for you. I know you're older, but I think sometimes guys have it really rough when it comes to women/girls who are violent. In elementary/middle and high school these days, girls are taking advantage of the fact that they can sock, hit, and basically abuse boys and get away with it. Apparently this is the case with the young woman you are dealing with. Until parents begin making an issue of it, girls are going to see how far they can go. When my son was in elementary school, he would come home with scratches from girls digging their nails into his skin, bruised shins, I once witnessed a girl spit in his face cause he said she liked some boy...I feel for you.

What does gender have to do with anything? No, seriously. Just because it's a female and a male involved it's sexism and an equality issue? Sounds like you have a bit of a victim complex to me. He punched a teenager in the face for jay walking. Jay walking! She wasn't some hardened crim trying to shoot up a liqour store, this is a teenage girl walking across the road without pressing the button. Don't you find that a bit ridiculous? Obviously she shouldn't of have been doing that and shouldn't have reacted the way she did. She not blamless in this. she acted like an idiot and she was in the wrong anyway. But do you really think a punch to the face was the way to handle it? Of course not. Fyi I'd say the same thing if a black female officer punched a teenage white male in the face in that circumstance.

You were wrong to tell her she acts like the domineering wife in Norbit... that was rude, and it's not smart to piss off someone with a violent temper. But other than that, you did nothing wrong - she's a manipulative psycho and knows how to tweak the system in her favor. If she was already running away after hitting you, you shouldn't haven't pushed her - that was unnecessary and clearly gave witnesses the wrong idea about what was happening.
You should file a counter-report, stating your side of the story. It will be your word against hers, but if she's really such a nutjob that will come to light sooner or later and vindicate you.

I am a woman and one thing thing that aggrivates the heck out of me......presuming your story is true and you haven't "left out" vital information......is when women who haven't been raped or abused.....use it, to hurt someone. Unfortunatly abuse is rampent and it makes it all that much harder for real abused people to get the help they need when people make false accusations.
Men however don't seem to understand that their words hurt sometimes worse than being hit. They also don't realize their own strength. Your open hand slight push feels alot worse to a smaller woman, or baby etc. Especially when you're angry. My ex's idea of a little push sent me flying across a room. My idea of a slight push makes me have to simply adjust my stance a tad.
Just something to think about. I just know I've had black arms from simply having my arms held.....busted ribs from a simple push......and hours of verbal degradation that was chalked up to "teasing" I hate women who make false claims and men who think what they do is no big deal. You'll have to figure out where the truth lies.

she does sound like the woman from Norbit. If she hit u first and u can prove it, you're fine with the law, but with the ppl who saw u drive away and her on the ground, they'll look down on u. Good luck and find a new girl. She's not worth it.

Go to the police yourself and explain what happened. If you just pushed her away and she fell down she probably doesn't have any bruises so it's going to be hard for her to prove you "beat her up". Also, I bet there is someone who saw the two of you arguing if there were people around to help her up. I don't think you were wrong, it sounds like you were just trying to get her away from you and not trying to hurt her.

Face the facts, as a man you are usually in the wrong. This is something every young guy will eventually learn. If you fight back in anyway you are a woman beater. If you do nothing, you are a wimp (according to your friends). So really, this is a no win situation for you and everyone with a penis. Good luck!

Sounds like you shouldn't have insulted her in the first place. Your next mistake was pushing her. You could have just drove away and gone straight to the police station and filed a warrant against her for assault. But now, you're screwed.

Put as much distance between you and that psycho ***** as possible. In the meantime file a counter report to tell the cops or whoever your side of the story.

well, in the eyes of the law, you're both wrong. as is see it, if you hit be prepared to get hit. unfortunately many folks are bold enough to do the act but not woman or man enough to accept the consequences of their actions.
i understand not wanting to argue but you totally disregard her feelings when you walk away without as much as a "we'll talk later, or when you calm down call me". next time, man lock your doors after you get in. i suggest you get some folks that know your relationship history to vouch for you against her drama. its unfair that she gets to portray the victim, but then again there are 2 sides to every story.
