It is up to the person. We are all created with free will.

Immoral. Here's the good news. We can fight it and do our best with what we have. We have a lot to fight it. God to start with. Our own decisions to follow up with. Then the actions of our decisions.
Even though we are basically corrupt we all have a defence against this. Our souls themselves can make a difference when we decide to allow the Almighty to take control.
That's the good news. The bad news is that darn near everyone here refuses to accept that! For one reason or another most people think that they do not need what they cannot see. What they do see they refuse to accept. Like the fact that we are an immoral species.

Both. We are all driven to do things for selfish reasons and personal gain (often at the expense of others) but then again, we sometimes go out of our way for others for completely selfless reasons. I think it depends a lot on the person's life and situation.
