For one year I've been working with an abcolutelly delightful, kind and conciderate woman. She really is a great person, but all these qualities are hard to see because 95% of her conversation revolves around how beautiful and sexy she is. (which she actually is:) She would count how many men came to her at a zoo and then tell us, or tell in details how beautiful she looked yesterday and how a handsome stranger was hitting on her.
Well, we all have these moments, and they make our life a little bit more fun, so I'll gladly listen to a story like this once a week, but not every day. She e-mails me her photos and then if I don't mention anything, asks how do I think she looks on a picture. She likes to talk so much, that I can't finish 2 sentences in a row, she interrupts and starts talking about herself. I've tried giving her hints. It doesn't work, or she gets offended. (she is sensitive)

What do you think is the best way deal with her politely? We have to work in the same room.

Trying to do my part to save Mother earth, I want to give recycled gift wrapping as a gift. Should I bother wrapping it? If I wrap it, how will the recipient know where the wrapping ends and the gift begins? If I don't wrap it, how will the recipient know that the wrapping is the gift?

I live in a cul de sac, we all have kids the same age, and she sits out front all day with the other women and I know from hearing it from others that she makes up terrible lies about me and my family. I love my house and my lot and don't want to have to lose all that because of one evil woman who has nothing better to do then talk smack about me. What do I do to make her stop or to let the others know who she really is?

Even if you are adult (above 20yrs old) you are still expected to leave and come back within a specified time (say, before 11:00pm at night). Is that true?

I'm 26 and purchased my first condo not too long ago. There's a separate entrance so I turned that into an apartment. A friend of mine / ex co worker recently informed me that she's near homelessness because she' has to find a place to live ASAP..Here's the thing, she has a track record when it comes to renting, she's rented 2 different apartments before and she bailed on both when it came to paying the rent, she just packed up and left.. I think one of them ended up taking her to court.. Would I be a bad friend if I told her no..She promises' to pay rent- but I've never rented to anyone before so I have no idea how this works- the friend in me wants to help her out, but then again, I dont wanna end up how her previous landlord's ended up.. My mom told me to nicely tell her NO and leave it at that.. I guess the nice part of me will feel badly if she's out there on the street..but then I dont wanna be a fool & rent to her knowing her record..what should I do??? Serious answers only plz

My roomate - who i share a room with, smells bigtime. I've told him time and time again that he needs to change his hygiene, but he's very apathetic/lazy. This isn't the question here.

My question is whether or not I will begin to smell without knowing it? He lives in my room.....has dirty clothes lying around, doesn't shower daily or use deoderant. Occasionally, the smell of mildew will be in our apartment (which I am near positive is due to his nasty bedsheets and dirty clothes)

Will I smell if I live with someone who smells, and live likes a slob.....especially if they sleep in the same room?

It's supposed to be bad luck to talk about death and funerals during Chinese New Year celebration. Especially to bring it into someone's home. Well, I LIVE in their home. Normally I give them fruit, to which they respond w/ fruit and money, but this time I gave nothing, *because* I don't want to bring bad luck to them. But they pulled the first punch! And now, at the risk of looking rude, do I just respond empty-handed with a "Thank You"? Or can I give them oranges?? I'm so stuck being an ABC...

My man took me out for my birthday. He said, "get whatever" you want. So I ordered the Surf n' Turf ($25). He got really mad at me. He asked me if my dad would get mad if I did that to him, and I said no, because if my dad (who is a cheapskate) said "get whatever you want" he would let me even if it was expensive. I mean, it was my birthday! So was I rude or was he?

My good friend is throwing a suprise birthday party for his fiancee. He sent out invites, which means that he is expecting a gift, or so I would imagine. We are aquaintences (she and I ) and only hangout when the group of us get together. She is turning 30. What is a good gift to give? I am thinking a bottle of wine? Any other suggestions?
