My husbands best friend is getting married for the second time (for both he and his wife). They are getting married by a JP and we are standing up for them. Does anyone have any ideas for an appropriate gift. They have everything and don't really need anything. I was going to give them a gift cert for their favourite restaurant but they told us they are taking us there after the ceremony. They are in their 40's and have kids. Any ideas???

I've had a few friends in similar situation. They were asked what they wanted/needed. Best responses were a picture frame to put their wedding photos in(even those married by a JP), a digital camera(so they could take photos), a gift certificate for dance lessons, or a gift certificate for their favorite place to shop.

I have two ideas for you. I love the idea of giving a beautiful scrapbook for a wedding gift. The newlywed couple always has lots of pictures that they could scrapbook and enjoy for years to come. Get a scrapbook that is beautiful, but not necessarily a wedding book. The other idea is a gift card for Home Depot or Lowe's. Couples are always working on their home in some way or another. Note on their card that this is just a little something to keep them busy as they start their new life together. Have fun at the wedding!

What about a gift cert. for a spa if both wife and husband are in to that.

Are they interested in a particular sport - what about tickets to the next big game.
Are they interested in plays/opera/musicals - tickets to a show?

How old are the kids? You could print out a gift certificate/'bus clip card' for babysitting for 5 times.

Hope these help inspire you a little!
I'm sure they'll love anything you get:-)

A "couples massage" is a good gift for those who have everything. Call a massage therapy place in your area and get a gift certificate.
