does any one else think that a lady muslim who wears a vail is just as bad as a white female walking around wearing a balaclava?

the reason i asked this is because if a muslim walks into a shop with a veil on nothing is said to them but if a white female walked in the shop with nothing of there face showing they would be asked to remove it.

You make a great point, Mate.
Even when I am where it is very cold I do not wear a balaclava for the very reason you mention.

I would agree with Heather j. l have a friend who is a nurse. She was in Afganistan and had to wear a veil all the time. Personaly l don't mind as long is not all black and completely covered. Once in Tesco l saw a woman(can you even tell it's a woman underneath?)walking with 3little girls and a husband. I take no notice but some of the kids started crying and many addults couldn't contain themselves and gave comments.
I think a nice colourful scarf will do the job. showing who you are and not provoking is ok.

Your question makes me think that you are a misogynist. I personally don't see why anybody would voluntarily wear the sort of head covering that you are referring to. In hot wether, it must be appalling for the person wearing it. It does not make the person wearing this bad, odd, but not bad. People have strange customs and ways the world over, I have seen many young women wearing very little clothing, out of doors on cold winters days, does that make sense? I have also seen many young men in tee shirts and jeans, out of doors on cold winters days, is there any more sense in that?
Most people in the UK walk around hatless all the time, even those with shaved heads, is that sensible? People may do many stupid things in their lives, but that doesn't make them bad.

A balaclava is a 'fashion' choice whereas wearing a veil is usually for religious beliefs - seriously your ignorance outstands me. How old are you, 12?

I really can't see who is walking under .actually it could be anyone, with anything, maybe some leprous creature you never know, we did not use the view of that black phantoms in our childhood, so not knowing what is under veil is quite disturbing if not to say more.
i prefer white female as long as she does not wear veil.

Asking moslem woman to remove her veil is like asking a white nun to remove hers. That's religion commitment, not fashion statement!

By the way I know white moslem woman wearing veil because she is a moslem, you can't tell she's white can you?

There is little difference except a muslim is doing it for religious reasons, a white woman would probably be on her way to mug someone!

Worse, a non-Muslim would take off the balaclava, while the Muslim lady is doomed to wear it forever...

why wud it be bad to wear a baliclava or a veil. its up to the individual wat they wear and they have their own personal reasons for doing so. u cannot judge someone by wat they are wearing, espeacially if you do not take the time to understand why. look into the Islamic reasons for the veil rather than simply listening to the news and you may learn something, open your mind, its fun!

i think if u are in britain you should follow our culture and dress like us, if you dont like it go back home. when we go abroad we would respect their wishes (to cover up etc.) so why cant they. i no alot of u will give my a thumbs down but i dont care!!
