Should I wear a cool casual dress, a skirt and shirt, or more like an easter dress?
fyi. in Florida next month if that helps any.
I am just not sure. please help.

Christenings are "big deals" and the Godfather will get a lot of scrutiny (and you by association). You should wear appropriate church attire---a NICE dress (nothing revealing or too loud) or skirt and shirt. Whatever you choose should be MODEST, DRESSY and not LOUD. Good luck.

Ask your boyfriend what he is wearing. If he is wearing a suit, then you should dress more formally- Easter dress like. If he is going with something a little less formal; like dress slacks and sweater/dress shirt, then you should wear the skirt/nice top combo. If he is going with khakis and a button down top - casually dressed up, then go with the cool casual dress.
So long as the two of you look similar in dress attire then you should be all set. Yes, he is the Godfather, but you are his date.

Oh, just a pet peeve, Godfather the G is capitalized, as is the E in Easter.

Not sure of what you mean by an easter dress.
I would wear short sleeve, light fabric, good dress and a hat. The hat dresses up everything. Nice shoes, polished, minimal makeup. Hair short or tied back.

Skirt and nice top. Wear browns and creams. Modest (but not stuffy). Make the outfit "stand out" with accessories only. The goal is to not attract any attention on yourself because of your clothes. (By default you will get a lot of attention, but you don't want it to be because you were wearing a low-cut shirt or a ballgown.) If you are close to any other female family members, it wouldn't hurt to check what they are wearing.

I would say that you could wear a pretty dress (kind of like a sleeveless summer dress) but put a nice sweater over it (white usually works) if it gets a little chilly.

more like an cool easter dress but not something white or red..the baby wears white and red might be a little over the top...something centered like tan or brown or maybe a dull color..

somehow i want to say pick an easter dress...even though the other options sound really fine as long as you are dressed up for this occasion.

I don't know what an Easter dress is, but I'd say if it is appropriate to wear to church, it's fine.
