Is it nail-eating? Is it nose-poking? Is it chewing food loudly?
Or is it something else?

It is my opinion that, unless the Dunkin Donuts employee performs exceptional service, I am not obligated to tip. Etiquette does not call for tipping in counter-service situations.

However, I do find the huge tip jar to be rather obnoxious. My husband has even received comments and glares from the employees after not tipping them.

What do you think?

I think sometimes it is not O.K. --- for the girl.
Does she --- in the eyes of other men --- look like a "W.h.o.r.e" ?

After working all day I come home to relax and enjoy some conversation with others,by reading intereating questing,by asking questions,to give fun and interesting answers. Most have been fun and informative which I enjoy. Then their are the nasty, rude down right dumb answers. It seems like people don't really read or even understand the question being asked! For a reader to say what a dumb question,or comment is not what we come here for. Most of us enjoy our time here and appreciate the decent answers. but when someone says what a stupid question,or why rant and rave is an unnessary answer. most of us just want to relax and have a few laughs and enjoy the wisdom of others! yahoo answers is for fun and light conversation, people just relax and enjoy!

I'm usually a quiet person, i don't know if its because i've had friends that left me during middleschool when they got a girlfriend, which left me to be a loner or if its just my personality or if im depressed?...i like to be alone with my thoughts and my worries about the future... when people speak to me i usually respond back but i can never carry a conversation... sometimes when people speak to me i dont even say anything because i don't know what to say.. i can talk to strangers and introduce myself but i can't carry on a conversation. i never know what to say or do sometimes. i've taken 1 or 2 iq tests that shows my iq is 100, and i guessed at some of those questions, therefore my iq must be lower.. they say that an iq of 70 is deemed mental retardation.. i feel as if i am retarted and incompetent because i am quiet and don't know what to say or do. is it possible that something is wrong with me or i am just naturally quiet and get stigmitized for it? am i retarted? ur opinions?

My grandfather just died, and there will be a wake at the funeral. I don't think I'll be comfortable going to the wake (I'm only 14), but I'm expected to go anyway. What would be best, going or not going?

I've been talking to this cute girl who work at coffee house. I've decided I'd like to get know to her more.

Since she work at a coffee house, I don't think she would be too eager to go to restaturant or out for a coffee. I don't watch television or movies so theater is out. So I'm thinking about having her come to my place so I can cook dinner for both of us.

Would that be a good plan for first time or not?

So I took this PT job as a telemarketer, and when you start the job they tell you that you should not work there if you can't take rejection constanly. I can take rejection, what I can't take is people being mean, hanging up so hard it hurts my ear, screaming, cussing, I have people that try to make fun of my voice, you name it I've probably heard it. After reading a couple of answers on Y!A I could not believe people actually think it's fun to do things like that. I (and I'm talking about me and only me), I don't like to bother people a lot if they say no to me once and tell me they are not interested, that's it, I say thanks and have a good day. Why do people think it's okay to just be rude before even hearing a word from the telemarketer? I know, I should get another job ASAP.

He is rude, mean, arrogant, and ugly that is the truth of him. I watch the apprentice every now and then and he is always saying stuff like " I'll be leaving out of town for business in my private jet", or " in this huge mansion" so what you got money? What happend to a little modesty? I just do not like him.

I sit next to this girl in one of my classes who is... well... pretty annoying. She is always trying to have a conversation with me while I'm trying to take notes. She makes really *not funny* jokes all the time also, and then laughs in an extremely annoying way. She tells me the entire story of her life every single day- sometimes with personal details I don't want to know. I have tried having a conversation with her before class starts to get it out of her system, but that just made it worse. I have tried ignoring her but that also doesn't work. At the beginning of the semester I could tolerate it, but it is really getting on my nerves now. I can't change seats because that is how the professor keeps attendance. I know that I have to just tell her to leave me alone, but I don't want to be mean because she is not a bad person, just an annoying one. What should I say?

I get to go to Hawaii for free, and stay there for free.
My best friend and I are going to be staying with her in-laws for a week.
What would be a nice gift to bring that can handle a long flight from the States?
Thanks for your serious answers!

A couple of days ago my mom was over visiting my boyfriend and I. She had to go pick up a few things she needed from the store so I let her borrow my car. When she was backing out of the driveway, she accidently ran over my cat. When she came and told us, I was really, really sad... but now I feel even more sad for my mom. She has been extremely upset about what happened. From the moment it happened until now she has barely stopped crying. I told her I know it was a accident and that I'm okay, but I know she still feels awful. She is such a sweet, caring, and loving person... I hate that this happened! I really miss my cat but I want my mom to know that I don't blame her for this at all! Is there anything else I can say to make her feel better? Should I just give her some time to get over it? I just can't stand to see her feeling so guilty, she is such a kind person.

There are so many great responds to questions which I posted. I feel like choosing all of them as the best answer, but Yahoo Q/A won't let me. It's so frustrating. Do you people feel the same way ?

People seem to use this type of language in everyday situations. It is very offensive and unecessary. These are educated people.

Today I went to lunch and I yelled at the waiter to come here. I asked him for a bowl of mashed potatoes, and he said they only serve them on Wednesdays. So I yelled at him at the top of my lungs to get me some mashed potatoes. He ran and got them and put them on my table. I smushed them in my face, and ran away. He ran after me because I was supposed to pay the bill, but I didn't. I kept running. Well after a while he caught up with me and I paid the bill. I paid it all in pennies and then told him his food sucked. Was this good?
