FIRST, from now on, if you have a disagreement, go to a more private area, with a witness! then...
Put your foot down. Do not react to her emotional behavior, unless you're her boss. In which case you take he to the office and explain to her that it is a professional environment and she is expected to act in a certain manner or it WILL be counted against her in one way or another.

Buy her a pacifier! I bought one and put it on the desk of a whiny emotionally unbalanced programmer, that in addition to being psycho had ungodly body odor. I gave him deodorant and a pretty blue pacifier. Stinky baby.

You can't win any argument with a person like that, and trust me when I say she must be ignored. People like her behave the way they do to get attention. Ignore her and only deal with her in email, that you cc to a "witness." As for the others taking big babies side, screw them. Hope they poop their pants.

Question: where the hell is your boss when she's in full swing? Does anyone know it's unacceptable to act like that at WORK? You could always print this Yahoo! Answers page and leave it on her desk.

Best of luck to you!

My opinion is that you should try hard not to get into an argument with her. It's probably a good idea not to get into a conversation even, and avoid her as much as possible without being rude. Don't say anything to her except 'hello' and 'bye' and purely official matters . She'll surely notice your distant behaviour and might go out of her way to be nice to you. Keep up with it and you might avoid further arguments. :)

Don't even get involved. Eventually, everyone else will see through her "poor little me" facade. Give it time. If possible, don't go out of your way for her, but try to avoid looking like the "mean" guy.
