Not literally, no, that's not likely to help. But I can understand the feeling, it's very annoying when people do that kind of thing! It may be their own stuff and their own garbage but it's our planet too, we only got this one.

No... I'm an advocate of environmental responsibility and always recycle etc.. However, I can't condone forcing my views on someone in such a way and it will often work against you in trying to get your point across. Why not just pick up what they have dropped and try your best to enlighten them as to the condition of the planet? Spitting on them only brings you down to thier level.

Oh my yes, spitting on others always makes them listen to reason. Or for a really dramatic effect, blow your nose on their sleeves. They'll really pay attention.
