Try to be more considerate of your neighbors. Some of the very best friends I have had were my next door neighbor at one time..

Someone has invented a machine that can tell when you are lying on the 'net or in your text message!
does it work in the same way as with Blair (his lips move! I know, Iknow, Old one but still good for a chuckle.)
I don't believe that you lovely people tell porkies.
If you do then I suggest that you tell me now and take a load off your mind and clear your
concience :-)
Do you think that people tell lies on here?

When I go to American airports, bus staions, train stations I notice in the men's rest rooms (toilets) that there is a large gap between the toilet door and the door frame. This gap is large enough for someone outside to look in. Why is this? Who decided that there should be a gap? Why has no one complained? Is the gap a regulation length? In hotel rooms there is no gap but in the hotel lobby there will be a gap. Why is this? As a British person I find this odd? Is it the same in the women's toilets?

For me , eye contact is very important while having a conversation. It is becoming very difficult when I speak to people wearing glasses as all I can see is nice coloured refracted light. The people include my workplace peers and more importantly my bosses!

How shall I deal with this situation?

Who thinks that swear boxes are a good idea and what are the rules behind it? Is there anything legal that you should be aware of when setting one up in the workplace?

we had a friend's brother's marriage a few days back. Her brother is a well off person earning well. All thought of giving few thousand rupees in cash. Nobody bothered of really going out and buy a real gift. They think its good for the receiver because he can spend money his own way and can buy a thing which he think is useful for him.

Are we not materializing every thing in life.
your views are welcome......

I have been living in a 2 bed apt for about 6 months with another girl who I really do not get on well with. Unfortunately I can't really move out as we have been put in there by our company. This weekend without asking me she let her friend stay in my bed. She did wash the linen and remake the bed. But I am so annoyed that she didn't ask me even though she could perfectly well sms or call me. Also she will have seen some very confidental documents under my matress when remaking the bed, what do I do? How do I bring it up, do I go to HR and state what has happened and request a move? Thanks

I am going to visit someone special in Paris, but I need to bring his parents (more his mother) a gift. What can I bring (obviously wine and chocolate are out) that will be nice, not TOO expensive, and wouldn't be considered tacky to a wealthy Parisien family?

I have a friend who practically yells when on the phone. I asked her about it once, and she said she just talks as loud as the background noise from the people she's talking to. So when I used her phone, I turned the volume down, thinking that would help. But she talked even louder next time.
Even when she's not on the phone, she tends to talk very loud. How do I tactfully tell her she's talking to loud? I've tried jokingly saying things like "indoor voice," but nothing seems to get through to her.

have this guy..who flirts with me but he never really made an actual move, I know for a fact that he's an insecure guy.. there was one instance where he told me to call him if I ever wanted to hang out or go to a movie.. and there was another time where he asked me WHO I spent my holidays with, and on top of that he's always questioning me about how come I'm always leaving when he comes and talk to me... so I thought well he told me to call him if i ever wanted to hang out..so I made the first move and asked him to hang out.He told me that he would like to but it would have to be in a couple of weeks because he is broke....so I called him yesterday..and told him i was going to starbucks and if he wasn't busy after work, he could join, me he told me that starbucks sounds good, however today wouldn't be too good since he's busy, and that w would have to meet up sometime next week..then I asked him if he wasn't interested would he tell me? He said quote on quote "that we can meet up

Additional Details

"we can meet up somtimes, nut he can's say that he is interested in it being an ongoing thing"...and when he said that i thought well I'm not sure I f I want it to be an ongoing thing either..so I just replied well I see where you are coming from..and that was the end of the conversation..because I really didn't know how to interpret that comment...I figured he meant that he means hes not ready for a relationship...what do you think..
