For me , eye contact is very important while having a conversation. It is becoming very difficult when I speak to people wearing glasses as all I can see is nice coloured refracted light. The people include my workplace peers and more importantly my bosses!

How shall I deal with this situation?

I should have said this earlier.

Please note that I am not rude or impolite etc. I am also not discriminating. And I will never ask any one to remove them, surely. I am civilized enough to know that. This is one of those tricky situations where one can neither object nor comply. I just wanted to know what could be the best way to handle this.

I would say just pretend you can see their eyes on this one.

People who wear glasses can't usually help it. If someone asked me to take mine off, I wouldn't be able to see them well at all. Most of the time you can still see their eyes anyway through the glasses unless they have a special tint. And if they are tinted, it may be to cut down on computer glare.

"I'm sorry, the light is catching your glasses, let me move a little."
Otherwise, speak to the person as if you can see his/her eyes.
Thick glass and colored lens are usually being worn for a specific reason.
For heaven sake, do not ask them to take their glasses off like some one suggested! If you say this to a boss, kiss your job bye-bye! It is rude, and not very understanding of people's disabilities. I would wonder, if you talk to a boss like that, what are you saying to customers?
Situation: I had surgery scheduled, and arrived. the nurse wanted to take my glasses off, and send them to securtiy, on my arrival. I had not signed a surgical permit, talked to an anesthesiologist, taken some oral pre-op meds. what she did was illegal, I have the right to see meds I'm taking, the permit before I sign, and the right to see who I am talking to.
So, be very careful how you talk to someone about their glasses. Asking someone to remove them, do not do it. And mentioning them might lead to a charge of discrimination, or harrassment, or the wearer thinking you are doing those things..

My best suggestion would be to first find out if the glasses are for reading or if their eyesight really is impaired.
If the glasses are for reading, politely make a comment that the light reflecting is bothering you, or make an excuse like you have a migraine and the reflecting light is making it worse.
If the glasses are prescription, try your best to position yourself so that when the speaker looks at you, the light does not reflect.

As people usually only wear glasses because they have sight problems, you wouldn't be able to have eye contact if they took them off! They'd be too busy bumbling around trying to find you!
Get over it.

Perhaps it would be possible for you to slightly move to the side or something so that the person would no longer be looking directly into lights.

Glasses can be sexy. Just ask them to remove them. I'm sure they will comply.
