Someone has invented a machine that can tell when you are lying on the 'net or in your text message!
does it work in the same way as with Blair (his lips move! I know, Iknow, Old one but still good for a chuckle.)
I don't believe that you lovely people tell porkies.
If you do then I suggest that you tell me now and take a load off your mind and clear your
concience :-)
Do you think that people tell lies on here?

I think the idea of a digital polygraph is just plain silly.

As for lying. I happen to be a fairly honest person. I don't like to lie, it makes me feel terrible. But, should the need arise to lie, however, I will easily omit the truth or tell a little "white" lie. When I say white lie, I mean that rather than straight up lying, you just twist the words, or make a minor change to the story, or lie to protect. I typically don't even use white lies unless they are for some type of defense. For instance, I had an abusive stepdad and we were not allowed to touch his things. At the time of this incident, my sister and oldest brother were at an age where if something boggled them, they would take it apart and figure it out. Well, he had this very interesting flashlight that stored extra bulbs inside the casing. My stepdad found it taken apart and half the bulbs were busted. He lined us all up and asked who did it, if the perpetrator didn't fess up, we all got beat. Being the oldest and, for the most part, mother figure to my siblings, I knew that my sister had done it, but I always prefered to get hit before any of the kids. So I lied and said I had done it. Granted, I had a black eye, a busted lip and hurt so badly I wanted to die, but it felt good knowing that I had protected those close to me that couldn't defend themselves from him.
As for others on here- some do, some don't. My bf didn't, but I met another online friend and they were nothing like what they said.

Some people tell lies on here, of course they do.... some people tell lies whereever you go, and the people typing in these answers are just part of the general population. Plus it's anonymous so people tend to dare more, some tend to be more rude but I'm sure some tend to lie more too.

I lie on a regular basis. Quite often I exaggerate for the sake of emphasis, or invent tales out of whole cloth just to amuse myself and whomever else might find the tales funny.

I am a liar.

Do you believe me?

I don't tell lies because my mum's ghost might come back and smack me!!!
I do think some lie, however.
Sad. I don't understand why.
